Oh, really? And where exactly does FF management say they encourage this. Also, who gets to define what is / isn't a noble venture? For example, I think all my ventures are noble, though there are some who might disagree. Have you been designated the determiner of noble ventures? Just wondering...

Ahh yes agree with this, growing an account and the subsequent increase in trade size is another milestone, and requires work on personal beliefs. I have tried tricking myself e.g. opening multiple smaller trades, but ultimately it's all about personal growth, like you said.

I am a spectator of slanging matches between Ff ghosts whose reason for the existence on FF is doing just that.

All gossiping ghosts want is : free space, access to guinea pigs free of cost, (without having to share source codes of their indicators or EAs), constant cock-fighting, trolling and trying to drive out genuine forum contributors.

Interesting to note is all of them share a common Guru, George.

Some of them have excellent chart drawing and hindsight trading capabilities. They provide good copy which boosts their ego.
Some of them take the likes given to their posts seriously. Even ghosts want ratings that will not help them when they shed anonymity.

Life is never dull at FF.

The problem is Simnz the forum is open to people with hidden agendas.
At least you're blatant about it.
Go to hand that to you.
Turn off the PnL, or make all decisions on a separate account, and only use your main account to press buy/sell.

Meditate. Become aware of your emotions and though processes.

Have a rigorous system where you have to tick out your checklist EVERY time. In 'Atomic Habits' James Clear talks about how they do this in the Japanese train system - thus reducing errors by 70%. Every time a train rides into the station the driver calls out his current speed out loud. Every time the doors close the ushers point at every door in the train and says all clear. The point is to make the unconscious conscious, that's the only want to not let the unconscious drive you
Presuming you already have a technical strategy or a whole bunch of them then trading is 100% psychological.
It has been said that emotions are automatic reactions that skip our psychology to trigger a chemical reaction stimulating the adrenal glands on the kidneys to dump cortisol into the system, pumping us up for fight or flight.
There is a growing business model teaching traders how to tap into the pineal gland and adjust the automatic reactions / emotions.
They talk of saber tooth tigers and how these are pre programed primal survival instincts.
Personally I know I never will see a sabretooth tiger because they are extinct but people love a story and are wide eyed signing up for the next chapter.
IMHO its your ego simply wanting to be right, forced in the probability environment that it has no control over. Emotions are not automatic we create them.
The question is are you here to fight and be right, which is fun and highly addictive or are you here to make copious amounts of money.

You only have to look at the expenses budget of every country on the planet to see that fighting and being right are at the top of the agenda. The addiction is so great that brokers invest in it, opening the doors and welcoming you in to your demise. Happy Trading
