currently EURNZD comes out of balance highest volume shows you the direction.

Thank you for posting these many inspiring trades.
You have changed my attitude towards this job.

Market profile doesnt use actual volume. It uses time price opportunities(TPOs) which show market activity over time. In other words market profile is designed to show how much time the market spent at price levels.

The rotations(range, balance) are a type of price movement that spends more time at levels so when the market forms ranges the profile will become wider to show this range(balance).

The directional moves(trend or imbalance) are a type of price movement that spends little time at levels so when the market forms trends or breaks to profile will become thinner to show this trend(imbalance).

The area(prices) in which the market spent the most time(rotations) shows the most acceptance. Accepted prices show value. This means the more time the market spends at the prices the more accepted the prices which means the more value it has. This means the more time spent at a level the more value it has hence the term value area. Conversely the less time price spends at a level the less value it has.

The market is always moving from imbalance to balance and back again. Imbalance happens because the market seeks a new fair price(a poc) and the balance happens when the market finds a fair price around which it can rotate. The market is either in equilibrium(balance) or imbalance because it is working towards equilibrium(searching for fair price).

Market profile is superior to volume profile for the following reasons:

Time allows market profile value areas(wide part of profile) to always show, highlight, and indicate rotations and significant levels(fair price) which is found by the market and when the market finds fair price short term traders create rotations.

I've seen Kette trade before and from what I understand, he sees is a sideways cluster of price at large MP, then the exit of that period clearly states buyers or sellers. Then when price gets back to one of those levels, currency strength (CCFP) will give a good guide to whether or not buyers or sellers are now in control.

I just trade the markets search for fair price. As I stated an imbalance happens because the market is seeking a new fair price around which it can rotate. I trade this search for fair price. I wait for price to leave a previous fair price and trade the journey to the new fair price. I will post some trades I took this week in my next post. Ej long taken yesterday. Entry white arrow. Look at previous day and see where poc is. It shows market is leaving that poc range. Price is looking for a new poc. Where is the nearest recent poc? The poc highlighted in blue rectangle. This a good distance for price to seek this new fair price and form a trend move we can trade. Price is above while daily pivot so we are bullish sentiment so I bought at at white arrow. Result:



Price ended up going up even further to the poc above(price goes to a new fair price(meaning another fair price):

I agree with kette. Price left the value area from march 8(blue) and looked for a new fair price and found one when it the value area from march 7(light blue). Now it i is ranging in a value area(yellow) in between the one from march 7 and march 8. The market is not seeking a poc now it is in balance. WHen in balance trade the range as kette has said. I do not trade ranges so I just wait for a range breakout where the value areas are further apart so i can trade a larger move. GU is too congested for me now
