they took all the audio from the live album in New York,
and superimposed the video on top of it from the Lou Reed concert at the Olympia in Paris, 6 months later.

Van set up the sessions for his album Beautiful Vision, but only used one song from the first session,
then went away for a couple of months and came back with some new session musos (this time incl Mark Knopfler).

The song below is from the Outtakes (yep left on the cutting room floor lol - BUT preserved, even tho they didn't make it onto the album).

(Van bought in Chris Michie later who played it as a lead guitar, on the eventual studio cut that DID end up on the album,
with Mark still present but softer rhythm in the background).

The studio cut was a bit more upbeat and on the beat, while this Outtake here was more laid back and a bit behind the beat - I loved it, spesh as Van went into his classic Irish growl mode late in the song.

I going, in my mind, with Mark Knopfler here on right channel here on the Outtake version as - pure rhythm guitar
(which makes it interesting, historically lol).
