In my view we are now at a potential first buy zone...1,0980-60 with the next buy zone sitting at 1,0880-60. If anyone is hellbent on buying, this is what i would consider the best buy areas... i personally will gladly skip it because there really is no bottom in the Euro, as a matter of fact i do not see a bottom in the Euro for a long time to come. If the good lord is willing we might see a decent rally from these levels now. I will consider selling starting at 1,1270...anything above is in my view a big maybe now. But as the saying goes, time will tell.

Just as some members said, there is still no bullish signs even on smaller timeframes.. I am waiting for volatility to hopefully kick in after US opening..

Euro Negative:

  1. Rising energy cost affecting growth and spending.
  2. Negative effects of war to consumer spending.
  3. ECB delaying interest rate increase.
  4. End of trade with Russia.
  5. Supply chain problems due to Russian goods being out of supply.
  6. European Banks hesitating to give credit for some time due to current damage caused by sanctions.
  7. Money exiting from European assets

Euro Positive:

  1. Fed will not increase interest rates as fast as planned comparing before war.
  2. European consumers having almost 1 trillion Euro saving due to Covid on their saving accounts.
  3. Germany spending extra money for defense which is not budgeted for 2022. Other European countries may follow.
  4. Governments increasing steps to decrease energy costs.

War in Ukraine has a serious effect on the European currencies and investors perceive the situation as a growing risk. On the other hand, the Australian dollar has been bullish due to its nature, i.e. commodity currency. In other words, EU is expected to rely more on all its other partners, now that it cut ties with Russia.
Anyway, the eur/usd reached the lower limit of the previous downtrend (1D).

Was about to type that lol. Lower channel downtrend reached. Short closed up from 1.11332 waiting on the sidelines may shift my attention for oil if it peaks meanwhile
