@kivanc - i suggest using hotkey activated by mouse. For that you need some mapping tool to assign hotkey to the mouse button. Good mouse should have own mapping tool dedicated for it, so you can check out. My mouse has 8 buttons and up to three layers - each layer = 8 actions, together 24 actions. My model Razer Tautarus v2.

@kivanc - just to make it clear i am not gadget person , just trying to operate fast , routinely.
@jagg - using prefix enables to use styling. However the unique feature of the tool is labelling. Ingeneer - like you - solves coding issues , we users come and have demands pls understand it is not critiqe. I understand that getting Drawing Tool to that point is a succes and sharing with public is generous.

The second point which i find a h_oly g_rail is alerting. A simple tool doing just one thing - giving me a list of alerts, which are based on my objects drawn manually. Trading the way we earthlings (not machines) do it, is nothing more than reading horizontal lines (SR, LVN), rectangles (SD, cycle, HVN) and trendlines (impulse, trend). You can use volume, price, volatility, derivatives of price, derivatives of volume - whatever you want to choose as a trigger, but only after you define "the line". Such a tool that reads objects created by JDD would be exceptional. Also it would be universal to any method of definig the line.

you know the chart labels indicator here.
would it be possible to add an integrated function to your indicator where you can easily hide and show preset objects and text labels.
I like the attached indicator but it is not working properly with the existing mt4 version I guess. you hide it but it starts popping up with any change on the chart. that's really annoying. the idea is really cool with lots of inputs, but I think the execution would be a lot better on your hands.

How can I draw trendlines without arrows? I just want to connect 2 points into 1 line without arrows.

Hi Jagg,

I hope you are doing well upon receiving this message. I was wondering if you can make the rectangles/lines/fibs created by your drawing tool be synchronized in real-time between different charts of the same currency. I think it would be better too if you can assign which objects that'll be the master or slave. In this way, you can just copy the objects individually between two charts and not be overwritten. I hope you'll consider this suggestion in your next update!

@Mon pls do not treat this as a usual rant, still i have to tell this. There is close to infinite number of tools which do it for you, compliant with drawingtool. If you do not have time to test free one, just try demo with paid one - such a tool should not cost more than 50 usd, more like 30 usd.

I would prefer Jagg perfected and niuansed what is already the core function of drawingtool - which i guess is... well, drawing.

Not sure if you guys are aware, there's this functionality inside the tool, although not real-time synchronization as you wanted, but I thought this is good enough for typical usage. After you finished drawing for a particular symbol, then just use this function to copy to the rest of the charts with same symbol. In fact using this instead of finding a real-time synchronization one might be better, if you can imagine real time synchronization would require the program to keep polling every interval through all charts to synchronize the objects, which would use quite a bit of processing power and system resources.

if you are willing to add an integrated alert feature for this indicator some day in the future, here are some ideas from my side:

a simple function which turns any trendline/horizontal line into a sound&notification alert

1. draw the object
2. press on a preset hot key and click on the object
3. now you have an alert that you can drag anywhere on the chart
4. optional alert activation distance (in pips) / sound repeat / interval inputs

maybe put an optional wingding next to the object (as in attached image)

I sincerely apologize if my post came off as offensive or demanding in some way, which is not my intention at all. I just wanted to share my ideas/suggestions that can help improve the tool. If the suggestions are not feasible at the moment, I completely understand. No big deal haha I actually enjoy using the tool and I truly appreciate the generosity of Jagg for creating and sharing this wonderful indicator.

I do know about this feature and it's been very useful in some way. However, it tends to overwrite or erase some objects whenever I have charts with different timeframes. Hence, I gave the suggestion I posted above.

In the meantime, one solution I found is to just enable this copy feature in my main chart and deactivate it from the rest, so that it doesn't mess up the original annotations I have.

Anyways, thank you for your concern, eess. I love your latest update in your indicator, btw. It's really amazing, especially the new alert feature that you added. Thank you also for that!

If you want to try out real time synchronization, I found this free one, but I don't use it, so I don't know how well it works, the author has both MT4 and 5 for this.

hi Jagg, let me keep requesting more stupid features

(ofc when you have the time to put in for this indicator) would you be interested in adding a toggleable checklist one can write his trading rules so that he can check before he wants to open a trade and make sure all criteria are met.

is it possible for you to add Copy HLines to sub window ? For example if a HLine is drawn on the chart then a shortcut will copy it onto the sub window as well..

This is the complete drawing tool I have ever seen in MT4 utilities.
yet I have a small request if you could add one more user defined option on Trendline/Rectangle ends at right edge in your jDD_Drawingtool
This would be very helpful when marking supply and demand flips etc or str break or choch etc
If you could consider pls look into adding one more option
