One point though, if whoever is willing to start a thread to share the details of his strategy it's not a necessary pre-requirement to show proof of profitability as a validation of his strategy.

Disliked{quote} Most people don't see trading forex equivalent to studying nuclear engineering. There's no pre-requisite to study forex trading. It's up to each of us. If we think it's "nuclear engineering" then it is for us. If it's just polishing our shoes then it's that for us. Why would anyone interested to trade forex chose to deem it "nuclear engineering" to keep themselves out? Ofc there are few who deem it this way for their own reasons.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Read some of his previous posts and learn to read between the lines. He's kind of secretive -- and he has his reasons. But he is honest. If you expect everyone to pull their pants down and bend over so you can get a better look, then no one will interact with you. Some people are total BS, some partial and some none. This is a public forum and the poster doesn't know you from Adam. The burden is on you. Use the discretionary part of your brain to separate the wheat from the chaff.Ignored
Disliked{quote} How do you know he's honest? What is kind of secretive? You're secretive but not too secretive?Ignored
Disliked{quote} I can't prove that he's honest. I go by what he says, how he says it, whether he gets defensive -- you know, his body language. Or, the equivalent of Internet body language. As for me -- I reveal as much as I'm comfortable with. And I expect people to respect that. I never ask someone to prove something personal (or not since I've matured as a trader), but if they make a general statement and insist it's a truth carved in stone, then I'll probably ask for some evidence. But that is different than asking them to prove they are a great trader....Ignored
Disliked{quote} No -- that is 100%, absolutely, unadulterated false. The purpose of the forum is not to make you profitable. That burden is on the trader. This forum exists so that new and old farts can socialize, share and BS. Much of what goes on here and shared is not directly useful -- but there is good stuff. You just have to be a good detective to seek it out. But it's not FF's responsibility to serve it up to you on a silver platter. Remember -- it's not their content. They aren't selling anything to you. They are just giving you a platform so you...Ignored

Disliked{quote} Yet here you're insisting that he's a great tradera desparate newbie reading this thread see that, what they do? They approach him to teach them
whether he agrees or not is not the point. He said something to you that made you believe he's a profitable trader, perhaps he shared his strategy but not all of it
the question is and the question asked by this thread is, is his strategy profitable or it's another one of the crap strategies found all over the internet???? And there's only one way to answer the question. One...

DislikedHow do you come to conclusions that information from brokers is not misleading? By information I assume you mean educational information.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Nope -- I did not insist he was a great trader. What I think I said was I believe him. He didn't just say one thing -- he has said many things over the years. Notice that he's been here for 7 years and has never started a thread of his own. He just drops by. That tells me something. That's a clue. You and I share a lot in common -- I've deduced that from what you write and how you say it -- but we are also different. I'm often wrong and misjudge people, but I'm still comfortable with the clues I pick up. I consider the clues as data points...Ignored
