A bit of a wild ride!

Something to take note of. US 10yr rates are not really moving. In fact, they are still below $128, my key barometer (1.788%, as of writing it dropped to 1.779%). And dxy selling off with strong moves. Something smelling fishy here.

Additionally, some high-value options expire tomorrow and Friday on EURUSD at 1.1100 and 1.1155 respectively. These options could be floors, but still a bit fishy. I'm not convinced of anything right now. Trading the USD right now is risky biz.

Finally, Aussie getting bought up on no rate increase and a Dovish central bank? Putting further downward pressure on DXY. Anomaly for sure.

I'm not complaining, my stock portfolio looks stellar! I'll be selling at the cash open.

I see these things you talked about. Something is indeed off. And this is the sole reason I don't look at fundamentals. Sometimes they make sense and other times they don't.

I somehow feel this is an overshoot. Many sellers banked on that 1.1296 to 1.1300 area and the usual thing is to blast it off, which price has done. Now let's see if he head down. Today's close coupled with other personal factors will tell me where we are truly headed.

Yes could be very dangerous, I believe so also, and even for intraday. And for both bulls and bears.

I actually had to factor it in when refusing short setups in this bull move x times and also to manage existing positions and prepare future ones, as price was getting deeper and deeper inside last weeks high this early and fast and from such depths.

We know it can get much scarier still. But maybe there is a pot of gold at the end of that weekly rainbow .

What is the high of last week's crazy 200+pips candle? 25 some pips only to go! Also a significant level through which bulls passed straight through with less of a fight than most levels and to get to 1480s, 120somepips and then the bears straight through to .1120s, 200+.

We could be doing it again,daily ranging expansion style !...That high is my next TP actually, but also for other reasons that all coincide harmoniously.
So watching extremely closely 1340s if it gets there. A clean break of it could again change the game, and of course change a lot for some of my longs, but a failure could also trigger the ferocious shorting we have been waiting to happen again. I planned for it and a clean break definitely is the second best case scenario for me on the short-term.

But we are not there yet and maybe never will !

Even more impactful on my decisions is the bloooody ranging daily . I now have to manage some setup with the old daily range, yes, that endless weeks long ranging, but just widened a bit, got a bit fatter those endless weeks of .11 to.14 that blinded us all into thinking it was over with a mere nudge to the south .
So now I have to factor in this range daily setup from 1270, which is heavily time-based.
So, for example, in this case, if price doesnt get into other end(mid-highs>1384) within the next 4 days, I close more of my longs than I would normally, as probability grows with time that the other end of the range will not be reached at all, that the ranging will have shifted down too much for that TP or even that the ranging is coming to an end and voila, last losing ranging setups before the trend really flies again. But if it does get there and early enough>1384, I close most except all my <1226, which have a good chance of surviving and riding the next bulls range expansion to the other end, if there is one, and which could be even higher than the next, 1480s, or even become the beginning of the Monthly bulls return

I still think bears can come back in full force anytime. Just waiting for them to show up in more ways than the bulls again. And in the meantime holding on to my longs in case it really does happen.

I understand how you feel completely! I'm way underwater since yesterday but I attribute that to ME jumping the gun and getting short too early. I wouldn't expect EU to do much today as it is close to it's ADR.

I personally think that the US stock market will do well in February which is the opposite of what I expect EUR/USD which is to drop to the sub 1.12 levels (ain't going to happen til Friday at the earliest). Hang tough and good luck!
