Disliked{quote} Correct -- 2000 milliseconds is 2 seconds. You claim there is nothing magical about '2000' -- except that it "works". You don't know what it fixes or even why it works. Yet you are willing to blame the broker's server. If there is a problem with the broker's server is it a network problem? A 3rd-party software problem? A hardware problem? An evil, greedy person problem? This is the way things work on the Internet -- it's not perfect. MT4 is not the first program that doesn't work perfectly on the Internet. However, because your money is...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Moneyzilla, Is the error you having a Requote error message? On EA it may be a few error codes related to ask/bid price. The issue is not too much related to sleep() or the speed of machine you use, more on the connection speed and delay between your machine and broker’s. It can be the 100ms delay causing the error, as broker has updated the price but your machine is still sending orders based on old price. VPS may helpIgnored
Disliked{quote} hi Tommy, yes, it was a requote. and the mt4 server did send a return message that the trade was closed, but it was still opened. the ea moved forward with the strategy, knowing the trade is closed and excluded it from further calculations. i had to manually close the trade and got about 5 times per a single trade the invalid price error. gotta close 5-6 trades. tried like 25-30 times. all manually. what i did noticed, is the trades that had the problem, were 1.00 lot in size. all other trades, below the 1.00 lot in size, had no issues......Ignored
Disliked{quote} This is a code bug. Software that operates in real-time must always validate or confirm its requests that are made over a network (i.e. the Internet). It's a couple lines of code to confirm whether or not the last request was completed and the trade was truly closed. This is not an example of broker conspiracy but, rather, lazy programming...Ignored
Disliked{quote} of course is NOT a code bug. it is faulty mt4 response back. we have been doing this for 8 yrs already. since 2014. we have built together more than 10 eas. and this is a special kind of treatment.Ignored

Disliked{quote} Just wondering whether you would be able to open up a thread, detailing how you trade? As you have said on multiple occasions, lines and rectangles don't work although, I don't recall anyone saying price would move when they drew a line. Perhaps they drew a line based on a mathematical calculation that you hadn't thought about. Maybe you have been given some secret 'source'..... Anyway looking forward to your new thread. M.Ignored
Disliked{quote} I see -- so the older my program is then the fewer the bugs? Okay -- then I guess I only need to wait until 2024 then all my software will automagically be bug-free. Sounds like a plan... Sir -- I've enjoyed reading some of your posts in other threads. However, since you obviously are not a programmer then I'm a bit surprised that even when presented with some facts and clues how to address the problems you've encountered that you are disinclined (or incapable) of complementing an alternative explanation other than brokers are conspiring...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Every time I start teaching someone how to trade I ask how he traded, what he did. I ask him to show. You know what? And you know what they all do? They're drawing lines! They are also always talking about the global economy and telling me about trillions of liquidity in forex. And I can stand it for $200/hour. I'm very greedy person haha BTW I have my thread and everybody knows that I'm trading exactly like RickM does ...Ignored
Disliked{quote} So you only charge $200 an hour. I might be up for that! How long have you been teaching? How many hours would the average dude need.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yep 10,000 would be a fair estimate. I’ll add you too the listIgnored
