Yes, we are waititng for Powell, beacuse from statement we not have a much change, only:

- if comes about inflation: having exceeded 2 percent for some time is instead by: inflation well above 2 percent and strong labor,
- and the add word "soon" if comes about interest rate hike

So i think that we have in pirce, beacuse no mentioned about faster end of QE, more tha 25bp hike rate.

But as you said now Mr. Powell will start his speech and he probably will make some "noise".

I stayed still with my longs.

He just stated that supply chain problems that were saaid to be resolved by this years end, wont and he cant leave a timeframe. That is pretty bad economywise for us regardless of ratehikes. May have a lesser effect on the move downwards

Generally after FOMC market is showing right direction on the day after, when all algo are after "milling" new data and also most of stops loss are cleared.

It's like he started off more hawkish and is now slightly walking some of it back, talking about hiking rate ceilings, supply chain issues etc. I personally think (apologies to the "I wanna see charts" guy) that this will hit around 1.1234 (maybe even 1.1205), then retrace some and move sideways/up within range again for the rest of the week at least.

Edit: GMT 09:26 - So far it's close to where I expected it to go (slightly lower) and i'm still expecting a rally at some point today.

Ata, I really like this saying and especially how you put it with your reply... And we cannot predict the future after all...

Bears now in crucial December lows... attacking the low in the 1220s.
If day closes below that(not to be discounted, with this 4 H momentum), and if tomorrow follows through and attacks todays low, Ill have a daily setup giving all ingredients for attack on last years low and finally a shot at weekly's down momentum's effect on the trend's continuance. Weekly ride at last !

P.S I am buying aggressively if return to 1315 ! So I beware of any return close to 1300. It could just as well continue ranging and it is just expanding, see 1480s reach..BUT I still continue trend trading down as long as it does not.

Just noticed something,

Buy limit @ 1.12321

Target is 1.14178

The reaction of this FOMC isnt like the other ones, hence I have to adapt. All other sell limit have been cancelled.
Risk comes from not knowing what to do

From here 1.1244 is my latest crucial level.. While/if/as long as/once H1 candles close below it, stay away from opening new long orders!

Last FOMC meeting resulted in a rejection of the 97 level. Today, there is a similar rejection. This could indicate that EUR/USD is not yet ready for the next bearish leg to 1.10 and there could be a rally.
