{quote} It seems I understand you. It was the same with my trading this system and many other intraday strategies. I started chasing the market, and every time he deceived me. Analyzing my charts, I realized that as soon as I opened a trade, the market turned in the other direction. I figured that if I took purposefully opposite trades, I would make a lot of money. I lost enough money day trading before I realized that I was too emotional and impulsive for this job. It also caused constant stress, my eyes and back hurt....

Thank you! Very good advice. And thank you for sharing your story. it's very helpful.
On daily timeframe my results was better too. But then I had wanted to try not to let stay trades on next day. But you're right. If I can't make deal with my emotions I will come back to daily charts.

Evocati, 1) Just because you open a chart doesn't mean your trade. 2) can't really comment on your trades if they are not marked clearly on the charts meaning highlight entry and exit for each and s/l. 3) You might be better suited for longer term trading. 4) Trading a rnage bound chart requires changing your goals.

Friday was a somewhat of a trend day but a day that from market open that wasn't very strong a trend. Here's a little differnt way way to trade a day like this, as long a PA is not really flat. Here's pictures I made 6 trades. 5 small winners 4 for $100, 1 for $72 and last trade for +$200.

First I'm going to ask If you see what I was doing and how I was getting my entry signal and exit signal and on the large winner why I decided to let it run.

I'll check back later and see if anyone picks it up as a hint vertical lines are crucial.

One other thing Trading should be as stress free as possible, but there is always some stress( IMO), not a bad thing necessarially. Emotion in trading is inevitable, being unable to control those emotions is what helps create failure.

Thank you for your feedback Rocky.

With these lines you marked the MACD crossovers. You used them as confirmation of your entries and exits.
And that's why you held the last trade longer than the others until the MACD made a reverse crossover (and on the MACD you drew the local overbought and oversold levels that you were orienting yourself to).

Used Macd for entries yes but look at way it's behaving nice sized waves exits are at break of swing hi/lo's because tren so far not strong. The last trade entry is right at the swing lo if price breaks thru then I have wide ope space for it to run. Every other trade I have a resistance point as a target for exit.

You are still trading in the NY session + 15 minute candles. Currently based on MACD and not using W%R ?

Dear Rockypoint,
Could you please explain the initial sl in this kind of entry? Is your trailing stop under/above the 8 Ema channel? By the way do you use trailing sl or just close if the price closes above the opposite side of the channel?
Thanks!

Mistdraw, The system is not the important part, nor is the time frame or indicators. Price action is and that all hinges on you the trader being comfortable in what you are doing and trying to accomplish. While I've show mostly the original system what I've done of late is try to demonstrate different systems that all rely on 1 thing in the end PA. It's not the system in the end it's the trader.

First day back after a long weekend relatively simple day 4 trades, 3 with the trend 1 against. Trend not very strong but definitely there. I would mention here 1 thing which I think I missed pointing out. I keep a Chart of USD, the DX open to help with trading, set a 1 min. candles. with same inds. I'm using to trade that day.

Took 2 more trades, was going to stop but it's cold here today. So gym has no heat and lifting with cold muscles is a good way to get hurt. Not in mood for tv/movies, too restless for reading, my wife is making her videos. So trading it is. We are staying close to home as covid is raging here right now. Notice that today I changed the EMA to 8 to make for some more aggressive trading. All stops today were 8 ticks and TP's were subjective for the most part. Wound up with 7 trades.
Now I'm going to make some Chicken with green mole in the slow cooker, a big pot of Frijoles Negro with garlic and chipoles also I think some French Onion soup.
