I am not sure if there is anyone using hedging for scalping. People focusing on different goals use them as per their requirements.

I sir and thanks you FIR all your affird that you out to teach us All your knowledge ..After several Years struggling in to find out a really good hedge strategy without success(i feel that i 'm so close to reveal the core of hedging secret to myself bu for know i 'm totally Stuck..)that 's why inwould like to contact you FIR private lesson/mentoring.

Currently teaching my own brother, 6+ months already, how to hedge + pick up a dir into the same time. Thus, if the chosen direction goes wrong, the profit from the hedge will cover the loss, plus something small will remain for the whole effort. But if he nails the direction correctly? Good for him!:-)
I can tell, he will need two full years more. And we work into the same office, we spend at least 6+ hrs a day together...

I have to teach my kids and all nephews as well. Like a total of 5 they are. For me this looks like a life long task... not looking for any more troubles.

However, if you want to hedge?

You need to learn when to throttle and brake respectfully. You need a logical condition for throttling and the same, but opposite, for the braking. It is like skiing. Push and Release. Push. Release. Push. Release.

Last but not least. Dont stay static. A SL is not the end of the trade. It is a step back. For later to push forward. If it is at the wrong side of the trend? Have a budget and when the budget is met by a certain number of SLs, cut this batch off.

This is more easy said than done. But here nobody believes me the chart algo equals down all buys with all sells under any condition equal for both side, so, it is likely, all guys who does not understand that, to never learn how to pull out money from the charts they are trading on...

After 8+ years, all I can share is, hedging is very dynamic. That is precisely why it will take me 2+ yrs to teach my bro how to use the my hedging tools. This is just for the use of these... Common people find it extremely hard to catch my words and whatever it is i am trying to explain them.

Here is what hedging looks like in math views:

+1-1=+10

or

-1+1=+5

you can replace +10 and +5 with anything you like.

Push and Release allows you to create that kind of an impossible math equations, at a first glance. This is mostly possible when being dynamic. When doing it with static trades, is a lot harder to choose what the desirable value of +10 and +5 should be, as usually there is a limit on the max opened trades per account with most of the brokers and the conditions became too many already and it is hard to make it... at least for me.

I just literary told you how to do it.

For me, hedging is money management mostly.

So does trading. In general. Trading is just simple money management. There is nothing special in it. Once you realise it, you will understand how true this statement is...

Push and release, it is your hedging style with sl right ?
What is the optimum sl and tp pips for every trade that can be used in manual trade without using ea ? I have been experimenting with 50 to 200 pips in eur usd ,but in last month condition,i still cant make it work.and yes, i am using 100% hedged position on every signal.
To make +1+-1=10 happen,i guess it needs clean move far enough without retrace . Without clean move , drawdown is happening.
I am still trying to make it work , still missing some of the puzzle i think,still needing your guidance, thanks before.

this is very basic hedging. It is a nice start. More complicated hedging is not much different from what you have described. It is just more dynamic and the chains can be really very challenging.

To answer your question. Values are not exact, but somehow close to the averages.

Opening wick = 25%
Body = 50%
Closing wick = 25%

All is money management. This has little to do with trading. At least, i am doing only money management at my end, knowing me is a terrible trader.

You wanna jump over the wicks. That is all.

Depending on your budget, you can do d1, w1 or mn. Trading 0.01 lot? MN requires around $1,000 to trade it. D1 will require $20,000 respectfully.

1 out of every 8-9 yrs are hard to trade and draw-down will be only achievement. The rest 8-9 yrs will deliver around 20-25% annually.

If you want bigger returns? Risk has to be adjusted as will grow accordingly.

What do you mean with 25 to 50 % from open to close wick, is it hedged proportion based on candle before ?
Meaning if now weekly position is opening wick we should hedged 25% , while 50 % while on body ?

At first , after reading many of your post , my hedging journey started with static , based on simple ma crossover,i just keep reversing with 0.01 progression. After a while ,usually profit is made when the trend is long enough.making 1-3% /month looks possible .
When trying to use dynamic with 100% hedged , my drawdown is minimal but no profit being made when market still ranging 150-300 pips for a few weeks. I wonder the key i am missing is in hedged proportion or optimized SL and TP .

Predicting market will be ranging or not is so difficult. Maybe i am gonna try using hedging with different SL for different volatility . Lets see if it works .
