Until an EA is developed, one should test with pending orders!

Comparison with a grid strategie: here is a typical example of today's sliding hedge.

- Pair GBPNZD. (The background is gray because the spread is too big and one will not trade.)

- The grid has e.g. 227 points spacing.
Entry (1.99179), Take Profit (1.99179) and lower grid (1.98952)

- If the price reaches (1.99116) falling from the high, one closes the order and one trades a sell.
The result: instead of a loss of 227 pts when reaching the lower grid, one loses 63 pts, and one earns 227 pts with the hedge sell.

Oh no, again someone asks without examining the indicator. No problem. It is just a confirmation that all hundreds of downloaders have only downloaded it for their indicator collection. Because there is no interest and no one tests anything, I will not post an EA here either. If I see someone contributing, I'll send it later privately.
In general, I do not give detailed explanations, and everyone should get by, if not one should leave indicators alone or trade without indicators.
If I can invest many hours, one should also be able to study an indicator in half an hour.

I just posted a picture 6 hours ago with a few explanations. All one have to do is start the indicator on a chart and try to understand what I've written. Ai, ai, ai ...

- The green / red circles are entry and take profit levels. You can read it when you move the mouse over it, or you can find the names and values in the "Data Window", then identify them in the chart.

- In Post #154 I wrote "The + and - arrows show the possible profits and losses". The star should be the plus sign and the line the minus sign, because I couldn't find anything else. Otherwise you can see with the naked eye whether after an entry at the value of the green circle, the red circle has been reached or not (+ and - signs).

I understand they red and green dot.
But i ser You use yo hedge some trades. I thought this indicador shows that.
GReAT WOrk again. I use this indicador to know they trend .. after that i put a simple martingale EA to Open just to they trend . Works great

For today 06 Jan, GBPNZD. As per my chart (GlobalPrime) Entry Buy = 1.99974, TP = 2.00216, SL = 1.99720

If I want to apply the same hedging as per your post, how could this be possible? Entry - TP = 242 that means lower grid = 1.99974 - 0.00242 = 1.99732 <== this should be the TP for the Sell at 1.99720. Or do we have to go to another lower level?

And yesterday on GBPNZD, a star should not be marked because SL was hit before the TP.

Nice idea of hedging. But I wonder how the SL is calculated? For example with the NZDCAD chart for today, SELL entry = 0.86401, tp = 0.85934, and sl = 0.86553. Points to win = 107 while points to SL = 512. With this type of number, how do we plan for the sliding hedge?

You can be right!

The Win/Loss arrows are drawn at the end of the day, and it is possible that the SL will be reached before the TP within the day.
I can live with it and instead of a 70% hit rate in the statistics, the real rate is only 68% ...
With the EA one will find out whether the trading idea works.

Forget the term "grid".
Please read Post #164 again, where I wrote that you should NOT take the grid distance (PTW=PointsToWin) from the entry, but rather SL=High-PointsToWin (or SL=Low+PointsToWin)!
So you have an advantage, and instead of 227 pts you only lose 63 pts and you switch to hedge trading (in the simplest case a martingale), where in this example you win straight away.

The money management is optimized automatically!

The lots multiplier for a classic grid, for 227 PTW pts Win/Loss is:
M = (227 Loss + 227 Win) /227 PTW=2.00
The lots multiplier for the sliding hedge, for 227 pts Win/Loss is:
M = (63 Loss + 227 Win) /227 PTW=1.30

This version can only be downloaded by @Sawaddee and @ordosgoitia, who are using the old version and have posted something...

I have made some corrections and some additional information is being written.
- The spread limit is now entered as a percentage of the value of the PTW (PointsToWin). If it's more than 25%, maybe one shouldn't make the trade.
- For the spread value I calculate an EMA of spread values for the last 40 ticks.

A profit has just been made on AUDCAD:

AUDCAD. Mine is still in trading.

Would it be possible to have a red dot as SL indication for every trade?

Perhaps I don't understand the above sentence.

I wanted to have the SL shown so that I can backtest day by day and see if SL or TP hit first. If SL was hit then how the sliding hedge would effect the result.

But the SL (as red star) showed in the chart, some of them, confused me. For the Sell, SL should be above the entry point. I don't understand how can SL stay at the middle between the entry and TP.

I tried my best but if the red star has something more than just SL then perhaps I had missed it.

Feel free to reply at your convenience. I don't want to waste more of your time.

PS. The red star needs to be the same or the next candle. It makes no difference for me.
