Los Angeles, CA and I'm on business internet which is faster than anything you'd typically have available at home. I wouldn't be reaching out to them at all if it affected my personal trading account as well, but it's only their server and MT5 in the verification stage. Also, have videos of it hitting my SL and continuing to stay open after it should've closed.

-Sorry to hear that this is happening to you. FTMO should definitely look into this and try to resolve the issue. I think that allowing you to retake on MT4 would be perfectly reasonable especially since they have admitted that there is a problem on their end relating to MT5 performance.

In the meantime, have you tried using a vanilla copy of metatrader, without any indicators, while limiting your candle history to maybe 5000 candles? See if that makes a difference. If not, try trading through a VPS to see if metatrader still freezes up. FTMO can recommend which servers would be best-suited.

Hi traders,
welcome to another December ForexFactory update on our thread. We’ll start with platform-related updates as usual, break down our new 10-10 offer and quickly glide through a few new updates.

Starting from today (10th of December), the minimum supported version of the MetaTrader4 platform is the build 1340. If you would like to verify whether your MT4 is up to date, you’ll find your current version in the “Help” -> “About” section of the MT4 platform. In case your version is outdated, please download the latest one at this link in order to avoid any disruption of the service.

Also, we are glad to announce that on Saturday, 11th of December, trading on cryptocurrencies will be uninterrupted on MT4/5. Please note that this does not apply to the cTrader platform, for which the standard market break will occur between 8 A.M. and 2 P.M. platform time (GMT+2 /CET+1) on Saturday, 11 December.
Please be reminded that the usual 1-hour break on Sunday (23:55-01:00 platform time on MT4/5) and the usual daily market break (23:55-00:05 GMT+2) on all platforms remain in place. As always, kindly manage your trades accordingly

Before we proceed to your posts, I would like to address more details about the discussed situation on MetaTrader 5.
We have not recorded any issues over a week and we keep monitoring the situation. On the instances where the disconnection occurred, it usually lasted approx. 10 minutes affecting some traders.
All complaints are being thoroughly investigated and as per the FTMO’s standard, in the case the platform issue is confirmed, compensation is provided.

Hello Gobigfx, once again, labeling us as “scammers” is completely unnecessary here as we’re being completely transparent about the situation and all the affected traders receive fair compensations.
Regarding the spread of US stocks - we’re primarily focused on providing the best possible trading conditions on the most popular instruments, forex and indices. Although we provide competitive conditions on other asset classes as well, the spread is naturally not going to be exactly the same as on the direct exchange. Also, our average spread on Visa during the day is around 10-15 cents.
Finally, I would like to address the attached screenshot. Please note that the fact that the platform process & sends the order to the server with a delay may not necessarily always be caused by an issue with our server. In your particular screenshot, I can see that the strength of your wireless connection is very weak, which could be one of the possible reasons.

Anyway, to make sure that there is no fault on our side, I have requested a re-investigation to clear any possible doubts.
Performing chargeback claims is unfortunately not an ideal way to demonstrate your current frustration and as it is directly against our T&Cs, it results in freezing your currently active accounts until the claim is taken down. Please expect to be contacted in the following few days.

Unfortunately, that was the only way to be taken seriously. I'll have the charges dropped out of good faith since it seems like you're genuinely trying to get this fixed. I hope we can come to a resolution.

Hi, I'm new here, but just writing to shortly share my short experience with FTMO so far.
I had my 2nd profit split on my 1st FTMO account this month. So far have had no issues of any kind.
I really like that I am able to choose and change my profit split date on the go, according to my preferences.
My first profit split arrived on my bank account ridiculously quickly - just about 10 minutes after finishing the request.
Initial deposit for the Challenge arrived by the next day, so all good there as well.
Recently got my 2nd Verification completed and received my 2nd FTMO account.
Excitedly looking forward to growing together with FTMO.

Hello everyone,
The last Friday before the Christmas holiday is here, I hope the festive mood has entered everyone’s homes already. Here we are with a few final updates of the year, naturally related mostly to the opening hours of certain instruments.

Let’s talk cryptocurrencies first. We are glad to announce that from Saturday, 18 December 2021, trading on cryptocurrencies will be uninterrupted on MT4/5. The usual break on Sunday (23:55-01:05 platform time on MT4/5) and the usual daily market breaks (23:55-00:05 GMT+2) on all platforms will still hold.
On the cTrader platform, however, the Saturday market break will permanently be shifted from the current 8 am – 2 pm timespan (GMT+2 /CET+1) to take place from 8 pm to 00.05 am (GMT+2 /CET+1) starting from Saturday, 18 December 2021. Kindly manage your trades accordingly.

Due to the previously mentioned upcoming Christmas Holidays, most of the instruments will change their usual trading sessions - please find the complete list at https://ftmo.com/en/symbols-trading-updates
Kindly note that the time is expressed in GMT+2 (CET+1) as in the MetaTrader platforms.
A few minor additional updates were made to certain parts of the Client Area, namely the Leaderboard has received a few improvements.

We’re glad that you appreciate the ability to choose your own Profit Split Day - we’ve been developing this feature for quite some time and we are proud to offer our traders something that is unique to the industry. Also, I would like to point out that you must have been truly lucky to receive your Profit Split within minutes, the usual processing time is 1 business day.

Appreciate the update and yes there were a few chargebacks as I stated before it was the only way for you guys to really take me seriously, but like my last statement, the charges were already dropped. folks, I'm turning off most of my bots for the week before Christmas,
though will still look to manually snipe some...

the bots I'm turning off are tiny loss, large win,
so lose a high percentage of trades,
but more than make up for it on wins.
Thready, choppy or sideways markets
can chalk up a lot of losers, though...

They've done great on the last couple of weeks, though.

just dropping by to say huge thanks to FTMO for the life changing opportunity...

i have been around the market since 2016. never been profitable.
lots of negativity as well here in forex factory, people being doubtful if they can actually make it in the market. (i was among them,searching for the truth, if it is really worth the endeavor)

Fast forward, i have taken 5 failed challenges + 1 passed challenge but failed it in verification. it was a wild ride. nw i manage 1 100k usd account with 3 hassle free profit split with FTMO.

If u are like me, 5 years ago..i can vouch for them, trust yourself & make it work.....the capital they provided, solved my psychology problem. i can easily stop overtrading and be content with even a 5% return. ( this is my problem & you got to find urs buddy)

Just the started the an FTMO challenge. Using CTrader. The 'Swing Trader' option.

Spread spikes over 'witching hour' 10pm-11pm London (after NY Close)

GBPUSD 16 pips
EURAUD 27 pips
AUDUSD 10 pips
CADJPY 12 pips.

WTF? Seriously? These aren't exactly obscure exotic pairs.

Is this right? If this was my broker, I would open an account somewhere else....

.....basically, even with a 'Swing' account, they wanting you to Day Trade?

I am currently doing FreeTrial on FTMO, so far so good but I am trying that Mentor App, downloaded as per guidance but on charts Can only see BLANK screen, Any ideas /suggestions please, How TO get working.

Can see in the Template
but Blank screen

Currently in an FTMO evaluation Trade, using CTRader, which I have plenty experience of using.....and tried to close out 50% of my position at 2:1 rr, to lock in some profits, with intention of re-entering on retrace.

None of the Advanced trade management options seemed to work in CTrader, so I just opted to manually sell half of my position....

.....what happened instead, was that my full long position was closed, and I was sitting in a 50% short position.

Not impressed.

These are the sort of conditions that brokerages force on traders cos they want them to lose.

It will work when you gona purchase a challange but nothing fancy unusefull app you need to buy aditional corses for bullshit....
