Good morning, hope you're great. Bears could show some resistance at 1.1308, for today, I think. Overall, bulls will do well, thanks to FOMC.

Seeing bulls becoming everything but fierceful, I closed my long trades @ 1.1306. Now sidelines, even considering going short from here. But I probably won't. Just wait and see.

Short term chart. Currently Stuck in the middle of the range, chart is self explanatory. Both levels WILL be hit. In my books, the perfect time to stay out. Personally, i am looking to short higher with the long term trend. Lots of downside to come....in my view.

Zooming out, i have no reason to believe at this point that we will revisit the 1550s as i think that this consolidation zone will be a catalyst for further downside. But its always good to keep it in the back of the mind. When we were up there, retail traders were roughly 70% long if i remember correctly. That is still the same 400 pips further south.

Sold EU 1.13152, SL and TP open. ECB Could still stay dovish and bring EU down to pressure 1200 handle again
Dollar could remain underpinned by FED for some times to come.. my only concern is December's history of sell the dollar theme

On first chart (weekly), price has held above the 61..8% level for a few weeks. the second chart shows price staying above trendline. Safe entry would be to wait for price to break resistance at 1.3720 -1.37 area and retests it. I feel a new bullish cycle may be at hand. happy trading

Booked my longs with +130 pips cumulatively. I have a feeling that Ecb will drop first before rising up.

I have a buy limit at 1.12443
target 1.13989
Sl below 1.11800(I believe we have made the low for this year)

Observe the kind of candle been printed on 4hrs chart. Bull bear, bull bear. It's time for bears, hopefully they activate my buy limit and then the next candle takes it up to 1.13989 from there I will sell.

Really nice to come back to this lively positive thread and immediately get a few laughs.

Here is a little history of price's reaction from this level of resistance since its birth. Note: I meant to show this earlier but got sidetracked by a visitor, so this is not a "told you so" share like we see too much of on the web , but seriously, it is not. On the contrary, I think the bulls have even more chance of breaking through this time.

I believe it is self-explanatory, but in case I am wrong, here is just a couple notes :
Black line is the reach when fiery bulls broke through, blue line when the hungry bears did.
50pips to 130.

Important note!: out of all of these attempts at the said resistance, bulls momentum is the strongest here. See movement from lows +"shortness" and quality of pullback prior to and after resistance reach(some here marked by turquoise squares, here are actually the ones of quality that I considered for longs).

SO..Being extra cautious and tightened my 1289 short SL at 1316, to be tightened again soon probably.

For the extra curious out there : main rule used are simple , price has to attack it from low enough to count as 1 : with at least 1 candle high < kC3(keltner Channel lower band) OR wick <= to last 5 trading days' lows.

I wish to all a sharp-minded, disciplined of steel and happy rest of trading day !!!

P.S Loss one of my shorts at this level some 4 hours ago, -17. It lost its potential, so will not re-enter this one.

I short since here, I think is time to finish this "party from yesterday" and back to fundamental.

Only ECB, can change my mind if say smt new, suprise.
Everyone makes mistakes, but only few use equity management.

Waiting for the ECB press conference to see if 1.137 will be tested. Looks like a line that bulls may not be able to cross.

Hi Marcin, I hope that you are right, and for your trade. I thought is was over but bulls did not show a sign of weakness at major resistance for me, so now I am not sure enough.

I will not miss a back in range short if it comes back down to 1299, as ranging strategies have been my main bread and butter these days, and even if I know the ranging is coming to an end sooner and sooner. I would also place another sell stop at 1313 for a 4H return in range, but only after this 4hours closes can I do that.

Let's see ! Bulls touched next main resistance already, and pulled back swiftly, but still cutting through it all in one go for the second time(8thDec), like a knife in hot butter ! 2nd time the charm? Or are bears lurking again for the millionth time since June?
