Pip/min: The lowest risk exit

In today's post we will talk about the most important key points in algorithm profiling that are critical to being successful. A very decisive key point is the risk that I determine with my developed pip value per minute. To do this, we look at a small live trade, but it brings great insights. You will be amazed at what comes out of it. In my last video I speaked about the fact, that algorithm profiling requires a certain technology, to be used in order to gain a market advantage. Breaking even is a trader's hardest goal, only 10% manage it in the end. In the following, I will now outline my most important key points. As always, this is only my personal opinion, which of course can stand out from other opinions. From my point of view, there are no patterns in the candles, indicators in the price or in the news. The normal candlestick chart arises purely randomly from the price and time and gives no information about the future price development.

An indicator primarily only translates the price with another representation but has the disadvantage of being lagging. In a market there is no up and no down, so the price is completely irrelevant to me. Likewise, there are no typical trends, only movements that result from the current market situation. For this reason, most information can only be obtained from time and volume-independent charts. The big players always work with a similar approach and a successful trader needs to know exactly how the big players work. Concentrating on the 20 biggest big players is easier than focusing on 1 million retailers. Although market orders move the market, limit orders dominate the market. Iceberg orders are increasingly being placed in smaller numbers, which makes it difficult to identify them. Furthermore, the market makes the news and not the other way around. If you are looking for markets with high security, you should value high liquidity and not high volatility. Likewise, you should only be there where most sales are made. That is the reason why I only trade in the euro US dollar. If you want to be successful in algorithm profiling, you should always concentrate on a large currency pair.

Forex and stock market data should be combined to achieve the highest probability of winning. Since the overall risk in the forex market is significantly lower, I recommend trading in the forex market and analyzing the data from the future market. Virtual stops help to reduce the manipulation of the broker in the forex market. Another crucial aspect is the currency strength, which is only available in the forex market. Due to the different algorithms, market technology is now out of date and volume trading does not work either, because bid and ask never meet in the market and have nothing to do with each other. Since acoustic signals are perceived 20 times faster than optical signals, I would recommend working with tones in the best ask and best bid range. The advantage of working with the algorithms is that you can see into the future for a few seconds. In addition, the algorithms allow a look into the eye of the tornado. The retail trader's stops are the most important point for filling the liquidity of the big players. For this, the big players create invisible price zones that can be made visible with my developed Bionic candle. You can find more information under the heading Community on this channel. Bid and ask do not decide on the future course of the price, only the limit orders, so I recommend everyone to analyze these limit orders to see what the big players are currently collecting. In order to avoid the new trading tax, one is forced to achieve the highest possible profit ratio. The easiest way to achieve this is as a scalper. The pip per minute values, which reduce your risk in the market, are a very decisive factor. Let's dwell on that a little bit more.

I once took the trouble to analyze over 1 million different M1 candles in the euro US dollar in the period from 2018-2021. The average ATR from high to low is 1.5 pip per candle. Interesting, only from the candle number 667,000 the value was over 1.5 pip. That means only a third of all candles achieve this above-average pip value. We already know that over 70% of course developments take place within an equilibrium. In the actual sequence of movements in 30% of all cases, the consecutive candles are significantly larger. Of course there are also larger candles within an equilibrium, but these are smoothed by the average value of the smaller candles. Now let's take a closer look at the results. The average of all candles was 1.51 pips. A third of all candles reached 0.52 pip, there the risk is three times higher than the average. The second third of all candles reached a pip value of 1.21, so the risk is still 30% higher than the average movement of 1.5 pip. And the last third of all candles has an average pip value of 2.84. This means that the risk is 88% below the average. Why is the risk higher or lower? If the average ATR is 1.5 pip, it means that a candle will grow to an average size of 1.5 pip. If a candlestick is greater than 1.5 pip, a trader is getting faster in his profit direction. This automatically reduces the risk. If, on the other hand, there is less volatility and this results in smaller candles, the risk automatically increases because it takes longer to come into profit.

That means only a third of all candles achieve an average ATR greater than 1.5 pip. In theory, if you place a trade without a stop, there is a 50% chance that the trade will go in your favor. If only in 33% of all cases the candle is larger than the average ATR, the probability would be around 15% to catch a stronger candle that brings you into the profit. The smaller your stop now, the worse this probability of winning automatically becomes. So you realize how difficult it is to catch a corresponding breakout candle that is also running in your direction of profit at the same time. I developed the pip value per minute for myself in order to find the optimal time to exit. Of course, it is also important to find the right time to join, but it is even more important to get out at the right time. The pip value per minute has the uncomfortable property of falling over time and thus the risk increases at the same time. Let's take a closer look at why this is so. On Monday, November 8th at 7:18 pm the average ATR value was 1.0 because the main trading time was over. With the help of my Bionic candle, I identified a key zone and wanted to take the opportunity to go up. In my chart on the upper right side you can see the pip per minute indicator. Since there was very little volatility, I was not prepared to invest a large number of lots in this trade. Let's take a look at this live now.

Unfortunately, I was 1 second late in the market, which already cost me over 1 pip of income. After half a minute I was already at breakeven. The price is going up and almost reaches a value of 1 pip per minute. There I briefly considered getting out of the trade but the bad CRV value spoke against it. For this reason I decided to let the trade run into my drawn key zone. You can see again and again how the pip per minute value fluctuates back and forth and no longer exceeds the value of 1. The risk was therefore disproportionately high at this point in time. The price continued to rise and then fluctuated back and forth in a small equilibrium. Now it took quite a while for the price to finally reach my forecast take profit. As suspected, the price then went down in a small pullback to get the long traders out. Then it slowly went up. Let's take a quick look at the analysis. After half a minute I was in the break even. After 1 minute I thought about getting out because I felt like I had reached the best pip per minute. That was exactly right, but the CRV of 0.35 was absolutely bad. Anyone who works with such a CRV value will always lose in the long term. That's why I stayed in the trade.

The disadvantage of this was that my risk was constantly increasing. At its peak, the risk was four times the average ATR. After six and a half minutes, the goal was $ 22. The CRV was 1.12, but my actual stop was only 1.2 pip, so my gross CRV was even 2. But I always calculate with net values, where I take my spread into account. Why did I consider getting out of the trade after 1 minute? Now I had reached a pip value of 1 per minute. That means about 6.5 minutes I should have achieved a return of $ 44.58 with a pip value per minute of 1. But it was clear to me that the pip value per minute would fall. And that's exactly why I ended up only taking $ 22, because the pip value per minute was 0.5. The only reason I didn't get out was because of the bad CRV value at this time. If this CRV value had been better, I would be out after 1 minute. You can see that on the graph on the right, how the value per minute got worse and worse. Fortunately, because the price ran into my forecast zone, the risk dropped somewhat in the end. But overall, the trade was too risky for me. From this graph we can see that I got the most out of this trade. I didn't get in optimally, but I got out at the optimal time.

As I already mentioned, the pip value per minute has the property of getting smaller over time and thus automatically increasing the risk. Let's look at an example with a stronger breakout candle. The candle rises sharply and after just 6 seconds we are in breakeven. The candle continues to rise and after 1 minute we have reached $ 45 with one lot. There is a small pullback inside the candle and the return drops to $ 39. Possibly the next candle will run down harder to get the long traders who have entered. Here my optimal exit would have been after half a minute. The return would be $ 31, the pip value per minute would be 6.2 and the CRV would be 1.55. The decisive factor, however, is the 41 times lower risk than the average ATR. Now everyone will say why don't you stay in there for another half a minute and get out with $ 14 more. After all, that's 44% more income? Basically, the approach is correct, but the question is always what price you have to pay for it. It is true that I earn 44% more, but at the same time I have to take a 75% higher risk. And from a financial point of view, that would be a big mistake. There is a very important principle in trading. It's not about earning as much money as possible, but about securing sustainable income with a low risk. In the graph we can see that while the pip value per minute is peaking, at the same time the risk is falling to its lowest value. And that would be the ideal time to get out. This is also one of the reasons why so many traders lose in the long run.

I am aware that in trading you have to pay attention to a lot of things in order to be successful. Trading is anything but easy, so the fine-tuning has to be right down to the smallest detail. If you are going to fly into space and want to survive, the built-in door of your space shuttle must be absolutely tight. Everything has to be 100% correct for this, and the same applies to the trading setup. The big players we are up against have significantly more money, better technology, more staff, faster data lines, a lot more experience and a loss rate of only 10%. It is impossible to top that, so we have to orientate ourselves towards the average trader and try to be significantly better than him. This then creates a trading advantage that we can use to our advantage. But be careful: This trading advantage is getting smaller every day because the others are also developing. Therefore you have to react creatively and quickly to the changing markets. This way you also keep your trading advantage in the future.

A candle is made out of price and time. Time is a fixed factor while the price is variable, which is why a candle is always created randomly. This means that there are no clear pattern sequences within the candles, so that the candle formations are only created by chance. A trader should always base his trading approach on high probabilities and not coincidences. The big players are the only traders who move big markets. They work with algorithms that make it easier for them to control individual market and limit orders. These algorithms are very complex to program because they have to ensure communication between the individual order types. There are algorithms that search the market for certain abnormalities, e.g. hidden stops, and there are algorithms that trigger certain trading strategies. In the event of a breakout, market orders are shot into the market and at the same time the limit orders that would hold up the own market orders are withdrawn. In order not to have to program new algorithms every day, the internal processes within the algorithms remain. For this, the big players in the market create invisible price zones that are simply shifted depending on the situation. This means that the algorithms are only shifted to a different price level and can continue to follow their programming.

The Bionic Candle was developed precisely for this and indirectly follows this institutional trading approach. This makes it easier to identify these invisible price zones of the big players and to determine possible trend reversals with a higher probability. The Bionic Candle shows the candle strength more precisely than the candle charts and unclear prices are better represented. This also saves a considerable amount of time. By making the invisible price zones visible, clear entry and exit points can now be fixed in the chart beforehand.
