They want you to believe they're gone, vampire bears. Time is in their favour. There is a massive prevalence of buyers, despite the drops in the previous days. I had thought these buyers must have died of margin calls already, but they're still here. Or the stats are a fake.
I really expect another drop or at least an attempt for it.

Exactly, where are you bears ? Just got stopped out again. Managed to make a fat total of 2 pips selling ! +5 -3

Its a bulls world still, but will reenter, same condition as long as under .1354 for this setup, sell stop 1.13339
If I don't mention SL and/or TP = longer-term setup possibly in the works!

This is only retail traders if I am not mistaken. Not a big slice of the pie ! Only about 5% of fx market, please someone correct me.

Yes, they are hiding in the corner waiting to attack. Bulls have a long way to go before a trend reversal is complete. We need to push through the 1.16 area for that to be credible. But there are tail risks out there for the bears to consider.
1. Is Powell going to be reconfirmed as Fed President or is Biden going to go for Lail Breinard. If he does pick her then the doves will be swarming the dollar
2. Can the really cut QE, Fed has been the biggest bid under the treasury market and when they stop playing, who is going to take over. There have been tremors in that market for the last week or so. If the treasury market stops functioning then all hell brakes loose and the Fed has to step in hard again.

So my point is if Breinard is the next Fed president or if treasury market gets very difficult and the Feds have to step in, then that is EUR positive.

Thank you for the explanation. Definitely interesting!

Anyway, I got stopped out now, and I think I need a break from trading for the rest of the day as I am getting no good trading ideas today. Prosperous trading everyone and see you tomorrow!

Be careful with the above thought process - here's why:

If Powell is NOT re-confirmed then expect uber doveishness like stoping taper and continual bond purchasing; that is the conventional wisdom but what happens if Powell is re-nominated? There may be a sharp spike in USD (I don't know why as Powell is a dove as well) due to the removal of the uncertainity, ie continuation of the downward trend we are currently in.

Fundamentally you can make a case either way hence all the indecision and uncertainity in the markets right now. Don't forget the USA doesn't have a 2021 budget passed yet! There is a debt ceiling looming in 3 weeks as well.

With so much uncertainity in the upcoming weeks it will be difficult...just my thoughts. Currently out of EU after losing my shirt last week.
