..a NAS long trade idea, nice confluence of the IB 50% retrace, VWAP and 200EMA..

Edit: double bottom (1min) printed above the confluence and retraced so long idea scrapped.

Inspired by NevFX's journal and youtube channel, over the last couple of weeks i've focused on TPO & Volume Profile analysis to help underpin trade set-ups and provide a daily pre-market narrative - long learning curve (for me) ahead.

I was thinking, if you were making some decent trades with your other setup, make sure you keep doing that too and comparing it all with the analysis from the TPO charts etc. Only get rid of stuff that isn't helping and only add stuff that proves itself over time.

..NQ, i'm seeing a possible hrly 123 reversal - price hasn't been able to close above the 16350 level for 6hrs and with this session's IB low just broken i'm going with it - swing trade so just 1 micro and will exit (cut loss) on an hrly close above 16357.

Edit: 18:05 UK - exited at market, lost $60.

..collapsed the last 3 sessions into one profile - interesting that the London session so far has traded from the bottom almost to the top of the TPO value range.

..if the IB breaks low then the 200% ext might be on as a target, to tag the 3rd Nov VPOC @c15980.

..sitting on hands day..back to the hrly chart and the reversal is underway..for now at least.

As i'm back on a futs platform for a while and with a nod to the 'Plan the trade' thread, i'll see if i can make the 20s tf work to try and jump on board sessions with early momentum. I'll focus on 123s with the trigger being a close below '2' for short, above '2' for long, initial stop will be around '1'. No scaling, all-in, all-out. Only 123s taken in the direction of the EMAs considered. Rather than a fixed tp, i'd prefer to use an opposite 123 or 2b pattern. Today was an exceptional example with 3 micros making $865 in 30 minutes. Will be interesting to see how badly chopped up it gets moving forward.
