The "step" input wasn't linked to any of the relevant code....
Hello SM, that so much for the trading system. Please permit me to ask you an ignoramus question. I tried installing this system but couldn't succeed. I did file--MQL4--Indicators. It did not show in the indicator file. Please SM, what do I do to install the LazyHedging Trading System. Thanks for your assistance.

if you have saved the files in MQL4/indicators, you have to refresh the navigator, or just restart your MT4 then you will file them in the list, and you can attach them to your chart

with this setting does it means EA will start trailing, when user is in profit of 100 pips, EA will remove the TP and starts trailing the SL at/from 50 pips, I am not clear as what is with the last setting could you explain pls.

This is really basic stuff and I don't want to clutter this thread; please experiment with all settings and any doubt will vanish...
The source is loaded with auto- generated crap and not useful to anyone.

hello SwingMan, I use your indicator smLazyHedging TrendChannel_v1.5.1.ex4... the indicator is very good, the problem is that when I save it as a template, when I reopen the template, the colors are not seamless, you can you tell me how to fix it...thankyou

Maybe it has to do with MT4 functionality.

If one load the template in a chart and the colors are not correct, then one should change the time frame and then go back to the old one.

I think it would make perfect sense to apply the Hedging Sliding StopLoss to the fractal strategy... the fractals on the daily chart are often points where the market either continues or reverses the trend ... With the Hedging Sliding StopLoss we would win in both cases.

Example D1 (Picture 1)
We use the BodySwitch-Indicator to determine the trend - so we know in which direction we want to open our first position.
We are in a downtrend, we place a sell stop on the "support fractals" and wait until it is activated. The moment the sell stop is activated, we look at the ChannelOsc and use the channel width as Take Profit and StopLoss (you can try ATR (1x or 1,5) as well)

Example H1/D1 (Picture 2)
We use the BodySwitch-Indicator to determine the trend (D1).
On our H1 chart we set the fractal indicator timeframe to D1 so that we can see the same fractals as on the daily chart.
The only difference is that we are trading with the channel width of the H1 chart instead of the channel width of the D1 chart.

Example of how the losses for trades are minimized (here for three trades).
The small horizontal limits show where the initial losses would have occurred.

Fractal - Channel Breakout (MTF)

Idea1 (Picture 1):
Trend (D1) = Bodyswitch
Entry (H1) = Fractal Breakout

Idea2 (Picture 2):
Trend (D1) = Fractal Breakout (which ist sometimes very similar to ChannelOsc)
Entry (H1) = Fractal Breakout

In the examples shown, I have set the option "Show all Breakouts true/false" to false... just that you get the main idea.. there are many other breaks in our favor

The Fractal Kiss ...

A trading variant is following:

- Trend direction from D1
- On H1, if the direction is the same, wait until two fractal lines meets a candle.

Note:
If a candle of the opposite color appears in a D1 direction (e.g. long / red candle), one can also trade after a single fractal line meets a candle.

It goes without saying that the sliding hedge compensates for any losses ...
