{quote} i just searched my mailbox and i have propably deleted the mails but from what i remember i had a day with big drawdown. i was gaining 500-1000/day and one day i lost 4k. then i asked their support team if i would pass or not due to that, they said propably not and that it is their risk management team to evaluate me. so i kept trading cause i wanted to get a refund and not a retry (cause i understood this was not made for me). i met the targets and then they mailed me why did that drawdown happen, i explained, they did not like my explanation...

Yeah, no thanks on them as well. I don't agree with any "rule" where judgement or opinion is involved. Make x% target within allotted time, don't lose more than x% daily or x% overall. End of story. Challenging enough without worrying if they are going to "like" how you got there. I traded 51 lots today with MFF on funded account and made $200 less than yesterday when I only traded 29 lots. So what? Shouldn't matter, just an excuse for Traders Central Fund to not give you an account, I wonder if they can kick you out after you actually get the account as well. SMH

Thanks!

If the feed is inconsistent, how do you trade with them - I mean, even if you look at the price action with MFF for example, the prices are not going to match with FTMO, so just execute trades on FTMO based on another reliable feed?

It’s noticeably different, but not a deal breaker at all. I’ve had my FTMO account for a while now and decided to add MFF offerings.

Just something you notice when having them both in front of you.

Any one trade indices with FTMO here? If so, how is the spread and your experience especially during news events and session open volatility? I have not seen any lag with MFF during these events, but FT is another story though. From that aspect, trying to understand the experience with FTMO. Thanks!

I trade indices only, mostly Nasdaq, Dow and sometimes gold via FTMO. My experience they are fine around news events. Although truth be told, I’m not one to trade high impact news, I’ll fade it after, but generally won’t hold during the release.

You know, I'm going mad I thought my target is $8000 and of course it's only $4000

Scalped like mad this afternoon when I got the account, because I thought, well I have to do a thousand a day for eight days when in actual fact it's only $500 a day.

You know, the most important thing to do is to CUT YOUR LOSERS QUICK! My win rate is a modest 63% but those 37% losers would have knocked out my account if I allowed them to run!

Anyway 2% gained. Guys I'm attaching a very useful indi which I'm using. I've added Push Notifications so that when MACD cross occurs you'll get a signal to your phone. Try it out - works best on M5 timeframe.

I trade primarily Dow, rarely Nasdaq and Gold - both have got me in trouble more times than I can count. I have not noticed lag in MFF either during news events, FT is another story though - it is almost guaranteed to lag around news events and some times even during session open, thankfully I only signed up for a 25k account with them, but still...

Yeah that’s why I learned long ago of staying flat during most news events. Regardless of the broker. Getting kicked in the balls over server freezes, whipsaws, etc had done me in.

Cheers

I either close a trade before news or hedge it. BTW, thanks for the link on top of page about FTMO feed, didn't know.

Yeah I remember Takisd discussing it prior but didn’t really make much of it. Only when I recently picked up MFF I noticed the difference. Again, not a deal breaker tho.

{quote} Yes sir, been saying it for months , MFF and FTMO, max them at 600K and 400K before you even begin to look elsewhere. Everyone looking for the "holy grail" prop firm with the lower fee, higher DD, better split. Grind out 3-4% monthly on a million for a few months, then try out one of the other shitboxes. Takisd only does it because he is bored lol

Only thing I don't fancy about MFF is the limited hedging. I use hedging extensively, I hedge instead of placing TP/SL and would only close trades before weekends. I often manage to recover many of the losing positions and that improves my stats a lot.

Yes, I only hedge when I know the trade is correct but my timing is off. The ones where you know as soon as you cut it, it will go in your favor. I guess that could be said of every trade lol. I very rarely have more than 2-3 instruments open at once, so the third I'll just use a stop loss if I plan on hedging the other 2. I also tend to just do the hedging on FTMO. I kind of view it all as one big account.

Why would you have to do $500 a day for 8 days, why not $200 a day for 20? 20 pips with 2:1 leverage. Way less risk involved.

Yeah, I get that. I also think a lot of people fail because of the need to finish quickly, but I also get the stress free approach of one monster trade and chill for 9 days too. On a side note, I would've never married my gorgeous wife had I "finished quickly"

Thats why FT and TPT have no min trading days. Can imagine some kid thinks he can get 200k in 3 days.... you can consider that money burned and thats coming from me when i pass most of mine in 1 trade.

Yes, exactly my point. The companies with the no minimum trading days everyone gets all excited about, they know most are going to blow up in 1-2 days. Then it's, I know what I did wrong, going to have another go with more discipline. Company probably collects 3-4 challenges within 1 month instead of just 1.
