Any one trade indices with FTMO here? If so, how is the spread and your experience especially during news events and session open volatility? I have not seen any lag with MFF during these events, but FT is another story though. From that aspect, trying to understand the experience with FTMO.

Thanks!

thank you my friend. I will continue to publish my results. It's not really about whether I'm crying or not but I just want to have the impression that I'm welcome here too and my questions will be answered. Maybe you will also learn something from me in the future. And I will also help anyone who asks me. It's just about the principle

I had a conversation with Josh at MFF a minute ago (I have known him some time from brokering days). He told me that they paid out a bunch of folks 20k+ this weekend and that there is someone who would get 40k when they reach their profit split. Told me that the reason for this is a lot of the 200k accounts are maturing now and a few people with 300k or 600k are active.

I've seen the bad reviews on MFF before coming here but the experienced shares in this thread seemed genuine, so I got convinced of contrary. They might run into some technical issues here and there but that's normal. Try checking their discord channel.

Yea he really talks how liquidity works etc. One thing I dont understand during todays MyFF webinar he said we are fully hedge on live accounts. How do they hedge? Do they buy CBOE options or options from SAXO bank? One thing puzzled me is how do they put live accounts of 200K assuming they allow 12% drawdown which comes around 24K.So they take opposite position to hedge or some sort of vanilla option.

guys - how do you think - are they in the same position as FT when they started to build up and maturating the challenge accounts and having big payouts?
If I am not mistaken FT started the challenge like 1 year ago, not sure when MFF did that? Does anyone know?

It was quite interesting but I'd argue the accounts aren't really "live" since trades don't go directly to market, but are routed to a master account. Also the "capital" is a virtual allocation as it was specified in the MFF thread. The accounts arent linked to liquidity pool, the master account is.

It's not that different than a demo account, they just perform copy trading, but not that it matters.

Interesting. Does that mean there could be a few milliseconds delay from you making to trade to them making it? That sounds bad?

Should be lightning fast if happening on same server.

But I dont see how few milliseconds delay would be bad. Anything happening on your computer or network could cause much longer delay.

Unless the argument is microscalping, I dont see how people still fall for that stuff.

there is a spot FX market. Hedging means they are sending orders to cover their risk so instead of warehousing them (b book) they are executing. Hedging in speculator lingo means going short vs a long position. Different markets when you are managing risk.

So when MFF say they are hedging it means they are sending your orders to the market so the company doesn't have risk of you making money. If they are c-booking then they might trade against you. My understanding on MFF is that they are doing both depending on the customer and balancing risk near 0% which is the only way to run a prop firm. C also means adding to profitable positions and so on as well to increase your per million return.

If you were to hedge on CBOE it would be so expensive, like unbelievably expensive.

You can't link a demo account to an omnibus account, so you are wrong. The account has to be live, on a bridged server. The reason a broker or a prop firm would pool the liquidity is because not every trader has a trade at the same time, so the margin required is lower.

Take that info and then think about the firms with 1:5 leverage and how little capital they require to execute trades.
