Have a good weekend traders. I was able to get some pips on the spike to 1.19XX. Looking forward to a possible bearish week coming up.
Drawdown is more important than Account Size !

The big question is if the RSI2 would print a zero on the downside this time
I almost said that the odds were good, but than I thought of COT positioning - not a given at all.

There are these two ridiculously steep zero-mastodon trendlines (yellow) that we either make a near miss of in the near future, or further down the road - and time in this case is not on the bear's side

Weekly Outlook

Okay folks, here are my quick thoughts for the upcoming week.

  1. Probably based on the Gartley effect, last week closed bullish as well and created 2 bull candles in a row. A 3rd bullish candle would create a 3 white soldiers pattern and indicate a long-term trend reversal to the upside. Therefore, we have to carefully watch how bull power behaves inside the first two days of next week.
  2. Last week's candle closing below fib 38.2: 1.1894 could still give bears the chance to counter-attack! For bears, it would be best that price stays below 1.1890/1.1910 area. Anything higher could mean large draw-down for most active short orders. Up until 1.1965 (descending channel edge), bears will be surely using every chance to turn this back down.
  3. If next week closes at or above 1.1938, I would see it as the 3 white soldiers pattern is confirmed!
  4. Long story short: Bears have 2 important tasks! 1) Keep price below 1.1890/1910 at all cost, 2) Achieve a weekly candle close below 1.1843 at least, but the lower, the better!

Someone is keep on going back on my blog to look at the Two Dojis Mine entry, which in return reminds me of this very concept:
a wave 2 is going to retrace 2 dojis and make a fake out, but this is all just fantasy if a zero does not get printed on this selling on the hourly
you need to see a settled RSI2 read below 2.3

Quick S/R Levels for Monday

Next to the the weekly chart, here are my thoughts for Monday:

  1. I filter out the Cypher pattern since current structure fits better with the shark pattern.
  2. The shark pattern completion point D, sits anywhere between 1.1880 and 1.1941.
  3. Nearest resistance sits at 1.1910, but I am focusing more on 1.19265 hoping that bears prevent a rise above.
  4. If bears win the battle, it looks like they would eventually target 1.1827 area. But that would not be enough for bearish continuation. They still have to break below 1.1750 area in the longer run. Therefore I will probably switch to a bullish bias once/if bears arrive at 1.1750 levels. (Notice the potential "Inverted H&S" at the bottom, but anyway.. that comes later.. so just keep it in the back of your minds for now..)

Monday will be a Bank Holiday for the US, so we might see a correction, but shallow, so the bulls might take the advantage and try to push up at Tuesday.

Looking at the events is all I need to make a map next, so I have already prices checked on my chart.

1950 is where the price might consolidate and wait for the ECB at Thursday. After that all depends on how the market will recieve the words of Lagarde on possible changes on PEPP and Future Policy, so it can move further, or drop.

From the other (bearish view) we may see EURUSD falling, but slow and gradually until it breaks below 1835 (ECB), or bounce up again towards the current resistance (1910) and above.

These plans may change according the Daily price action and news sentiment.
