After doing so digging it looks like another $50 WordPress site that's not even been checked yet as there are multiple things still not completed properly. I guess its a new site that went live before it was 100% ready for public viewing.

Phase II Day 1 Today's result will reduce next week pressure on Phase II, thanks God. Tomorrow is NFP day, I prefer to see what happened and continue next week. {image}

Sorry, I lie!

Market movement very tempting and I just a weak guy.
Please forgive me, trading in the NFP.

Pips motivated me to add MFF to the game. Courtesy of NFP and NAS100 pushed me across the finish line sooner then expected.

Nice work Crypto. You already have 400K with FTMO as well, correct? 2 more of these and your trading the 1 million, with none of your own money at risk. Awesome!!!

{quote} Yes, no matter the state of the world.....Afghanistan, pandemic, natural disasters, the STOCK MARKET MUST GO UP!!!!! I've only shorted this week, off the 35460-470 area, triple top at the 35500, I go heavy (well for me that's $10/point), grab 1/2 when I hit my mark, get stop to BE and I know I'm going to get a serious runner south coming soon. Disclaimer: I trade primarily forex and have just started mixing in the indices within the past month, so I probably have no idea what I'm doing lol

Yeah im maxed out on FTMO so you inspired me to go for MFF. Might as well get rolling on the other two Phase 1's, now that i have to wait 8 more days to get Phase 2.

Lol your discussion with Tak was the first thing I remembered when I saw it dropping.
Taking a breather now... May continue lower based on the bad numbers...

Never been one to read too much into red and green numbers though.

I heard Josh on his live stream say that the indicies are just waiting for reasons to sell and have been for quite some time. Up side is short lived. That being said, I got my 60 points out of a buy today and chilled. I do have weak hands when it comes to holding lately due to the price action.

In terms of the economic figures, they are still very mixed overall and inflation is the only questions on everyones lips (before the defaults start). So the fed tapering + a rise in rates may cause the cataclysm.

Personally, I am very cash heavy lately with all the prop firm money and the fact I live like an alcoholic hippie. So maybe I'll secure my retirement by buying the dip when it happens. I'd like to see dow below 20k to consider buying it.

Proper correction with US indices is due. Fed will start tapering in the coming months imo are rates hikes are likely next in 2022.

Inflation is not that temporary and leg higher could be next due to gas price and chips shortages.

BTW, got a question for those trading with FTMO and MFF - can you copy trade from a live account to an eval one or they have to be traded separately?

1st post... long time lurker

Read entire thread over a few days, very informative.

Takisd,

You seem to be very knowledgeable on the broker side of things. For a system with tighter stops in the 6-20 pip range @ 1% risk per, would liquidity be a long term concern with these prop firms as account size grows? In your opinion what is the maximum ticket size one could fill in the retail broker space without massive slippage on every entry & exit?

Thanks

6 is fine, its when you get to the 1-3 range that you are likely to get hunted. On FX if you are trading over 30 lots you should be slipped unless the liquidity is dark pool. But even then, should still slip.

I fully expect slippage on a consistent basis with size managing 500K-1M capital, however if it's 1-3 pips in and out consistently it could be highly problematic.

Depends on the pair. If you are trading anything but usd/jpy usd/chf eur/usd and gbp/usd and you expect slippage to stay below 1 pip, you are fooling yourself. One way to mitigate it is to chop your order to pieces.

Congratulations. Not sure NFP helped you much as market didn't even move that much NAS is in same range 50 points up and down. Even DOW didn't crossed daily ATR
