It also determines your structure size and therefore the expected expansion. 3X is a very common one.

Wicks omitted to avoid including dealer's spread.

This is such a powerful thread. If it is used in its true nature instead of adding other spices to it like many in the thread tried, it can be ultra profitable.

Just finished reading the whole thread and backtesting on 2 pairs for last 3 months of data and results popped my eyes out.

Thank you so much for sharing @nikosk0 .. Hope you, your dear ones and everything else is safe and coming back to normal.

we're good thanks.

3 months of data aint enough unless you're talking about the 5m timeframe.
if you are using anything from 15m and bigger you need as much data as possible. for 15m and 30m i recomend at least 2 years.
for the 4hr i recomend as much history as you can get your hands on (10 years +)

just to be able to see and test all the different situations that can happen.

and remember this, what happens now and what will happen tommorow has never happened in the past. but getting as much backtesting as you can get better prepares you for the scenario of tommorow.
and yes 2 pairs (hell even 1 pair) is enough to make money in the long run. each pair has its own characteristics. some fake out others do not. somewhere a few posts back i shared a difference between gu and eu. every pair has such characteristics, you just need to find them and exploit them.
i wish you luck and thankt for your kind words.

btw, small tips that might help you on eu and gu (since i trade mostly those 2) on 4hr timeframe, eu likes to make new ll's before reversing to the north pound tends to respect previous lows instead of breaking them and going north. examples below so if euro is goind down, wait for it to make a new low to buy and if pound is going down wait for a retest of the low to buy (if structure is against your trade do not bet on making a higher high, just trail the trade on smaller timeframes) hope you can understand. zoom in to your charts and you'll see...

in responce to my previous post
see the difference between eu and gu ( ialso marked the LL between them. gu also got respected very nicelly with only a pip or so that got broken. in reality this is not a LL that interests us in this thread)

i also just remembered a similar situation i had posted on au and nu a few weeks ago but i am not a master on them to really trade such a thing.

Imo, markets launch different pricing templates at the same time that look like similar but they're not.

I see this major difference.

On the left, the pricing template is relative to the small consolidation where you can observe how the structure is changing. But on the right, the pricing plan I think it is related to a higher scale price structure.

Hi, if I am not mistaken, that is one of the function in Tradingview, not an indicator on MT4.
Trading is not easy

stocks moved and keep moving as expected, uj and bitcoin the same.
bitcoin was a massive win today and uj is falling but slowly, move stops at break even and wait. stocks take 80% out now put stop at break even and hpe for a massive fall. i was expecting this to happen early september but here we go late september

AN from 2 weeks backs is still sitting in the lows but we should see a pullback on the dailly this week or the next. just wait for the setup

good luck

edit, am posting the charts for future reference
each trade is worth between 3+ rrr. us30 especially is above 12 right now if the whole trade was still kept open, you can check previous posts.
just more proof the the system works. see ya
