I think if you trade the Dow (US30) which is probably the most heavily traded of any FX pair/indices, you must have max 1 - 2 pip (or point if you like) spread.

Anything more then that is a no-go in my opinion.

Lost 0.3% on Friday, still a profitable week of almost 2%. If it was volatile Friday and prop traders blew their accounts, those same folks would've blown up their personal accounts.
I know some like to come here and try to poke holes in the prop trading model. It's just like trading anywhere else.......CONTROL THE RISK. It's simple adjustments, if you normally allow 20% DD in your personal account, reduce your positions to 1/4, if you normally allow 50%, reduce to 1/10. If you're conservative in your personal account, you probably don't need to change a thing.

Unless you overtrade (which would be a problem no matter where you trade), why wouldn't it be? If you're constantly trying to double or triple an account, you will always lose long term......this is no matter where you trade.

Their summer plan is great, unfortunately no longer available. It is a 3 step challenge model which is free, you pay after you pass all 3 stages. As far as their standard model, it's just like all of the other "scaling" models, your fee is more than what they allow you in DD. That money will perform better in your personal account. Always look for fee vs. DD allowed, it should be filter #1.

Simple.

Volatility is never a concern for those who know how to manage risk.
I'd be more worried about trading around times of thin liquidity. Crazy slippages..... Still, if one is not over leveraged it won't hurt as much.

I got funded with a 6.6 point spread at TPTP or whatever it is blakes dump. But I won't be contributing equity to them. Its such a shitbox. The beauty of dow is that 6 points during market hours isnt much to make up. If you need a 1 tick spread then you're doing it wrong.

You literally came into this thread for that reason, and he did too. Why don't you both go throw sand at each other in the sandbox elsewhere. This is a thread for adults.

I agree volatile days are a trader wet dream. We cant profit from a flat market.

Friday was good USDCAD and CADJPY overbought and oversold respectively on daily chart, waited for a reversal for both and went good.

Indices also rallied and quite a lot after shift in sentiment.

are there any server lags on MyFF e.g. around high impact news or do their quotes always represent actual markets ? Because they say you trade on a live server once evaluation is passed.
