Very difficult session, Friday. After being significantly up and then refusing to close with very dignified gain, ended up heavy underwater. The extent of the rise above 1.168 was unexpected to me, even though I had indications, in hindsight, so many things to track and impartially evaluate in real time... a lot of stuff gets mentally dismissed if focused on own dreams. In essence, I neglected the good practice of playing it defensively while focused on the extraordinary returns that at times, I had only 4 PiPs away.

Session end. Could have handled it better. On the other hand I never lost control and managed it better than similar situations in the past. I should be able to recover the loss in a short time.

At 1.168 there was significant selling that for hours absorbed all buying pressure, then, evidently having filled their shorts, they let it go and it rose 20 PiPs on air. That's how large positions are filled, they created demand by bouncing off the low and overcoming obvious SR 1.1675, and the expectation of a rise, so everybody is buying. The messing around above that, was large short accumulation and NOT a conflict between "bulls and bears" as many retails believe. The rise above 1.1680 is the payout for filling the big boys shorts. That "bulls vs bears" paradigm and all the related talk, descriptions and depictions are so silly and annoying that they merit to have those who hold or manifest them on "Ignore", by itself.

The down trend is not over. Next week after a bit of down, there are some more PiPs of upside to go before reversal.

Placed a short 30 minutes before the close Friday. 1.618 level reached. Double top.

The move up on Friday was a qualified Wave 1 up by scoring beyond the E-67

The faith of the rally would be decided just beyond the Oversold level, around the Keltinger band and the 20 MA.

careful, until there is a sign of weakness (RSI2<2.30) there is no lift you can short into

If market opens without a bullish gap, in other words if market opens below 1.1715 roughly, it would be wise to stay away from going long..

....oh my oh my!!!! Coming back just to see that bulls completely took the lead. That's not what I had anticipated before going to sleep. Look at those badass candles slicing through my M30 resistance zone (the 2 parallel red lines) like butter. What I expected was a drop first to build an M pattern (thick red line down) and this steep rise should have had happened later, let's say after London opening or so.. but here we are watching price already dancing near those highs which I mentioned last week (https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/...1#post13673951) .. These type of moves during Asian session are really annoying for most EU session traders -including me-, where all the fun pa is already complete before the day even starts.. Sighs!

Back to the drawing board... I need to re-analyze, and I hope there is something left for the day to trade...

For now, this is my quick plan based on H1: Stay long and keep buying dips roughly towards 1.17015 with hopes that the potential inverted H&S plays out.. My expected target area for the day would be somewhere around 1.1749..

*If 1.1720/25 area keeps resisting, it would be a good indication that the right shoulder needs to be built first!

Testing first major resistance as we speak. Held firm for a full day the 18th, day of multiple failed attempts before a new low.

Wonder if this time bulls will make it through. It is a good start ! Although I am not worried for my shorts while under 1740, I am concerned that we have to defend 1720s for the trillionth time ! Oh, I forgot , patience MTako! patienceeee !

1720s reactions today should put this smooth impressive Asian Up-Rising in a clearer perspective. Had not thought of that possible head and shoulder. Great stuff, as always. I think we will see even more surprises this week... mmm yummmmm

This last closed 15min candle is the one to beat !... I am trading either end in the direction for a quick 5 pips, rinse and repeat.

wow, did not expect such long standstill with such volatility, especially not from the bulls ! They have all the intraday momentum and danger force !
