I don't wait for the bar to close.

As long as it crosses strong, I enter the trade.

Thanks Pockerchip. I posted a similar level on Ron’s site as you concerning gold. In terms of entry do you enter mostly off the one hour chart?

To reach your USDCad level you specified the cross must first retrace.

What does it take to be a good trader ?

Patience is the key to forex trading. You can enter a trade in the wrong direction and still make a profit when and if that the pair comes back home.

When I started trading in 2008 I didn't know anything about forex trading and thought I knew enough by just watching charts. I didn't read any books because I thought they just wanted to sell books, why would they give away trading secrets for the price of a book ? I still believe this today.

In the beginning I traded like a idiot for months, and lost my ass for months. It almost cost me what's most near and dear to me, my wife.

Finally, I figured it out. After losing about 15 pounds of $20 bills. One million dollars in $20 bills weighs 45 pounds.

Discipline is the other key to trading forex. Without the combination patience and discipline I don't know if a trader can be profitable. They would have to trade 10 pips or less stay profitable I think.

While trading forex " you have to use the 1 hour chart or above to be successful ". On top of that you need a big margin, if your trading 2 lots or more your going to need that margin. Believe me, if you get into a trade and it makes a fake run the other direction for 60-100 pips the margin is going to be your newest best friend.

Trading forex isn't for people who aren't dedicated. You have to give up your time to forex trading because if you don't, " you will go broke ".

Before you trade you need to know the direction, look at the sentiment go to www.fxblue.com, and weekly chart, for the trend look at the daily, and trade with the 1 hour and the 4 hour chart. This combination will give you at least a 65 % - 75 % winning chance. The other 25 % winning is below.

Any chart less than the 1 hour is going to lie to you. The 15 minute chart is the trapping chart. This is what the market maker uses to trap weak retail traders.

This is why they say 90 % of retail traders lose. I think it might be higher than 90 %.

If you want to know where a pair is going keep looking to the left side of the chart, pairs only go so far up and so far down, why is that you ask ?

Because the market maker will trap a herd of sellers or buyers , then he will run the pair the other direction until 90% close they're trades, then the market maker will bring the price back down almost where it started. Still trapping those 10 % that didn't get to close their trades.

I've told you about winning 75 % of the time. I'm about to tell you about the other 25 % winning trades. This is where the Williams % R and the 20 moving average puts you above all other traders. I can't believe the market maker hasn't had it banned yet.

Using this tool on the 1 hour chart with a big margin level and trading with 2 lots you can make $1,000-1,200 per day in 3 trades. 20 pips per trade.

The Williams % R running thru the 20 day moving average is true game changer. If you learn how to use it you can go from a losing trader to a winning trader and you will be profitable, very profitable.

Is the Williams % R perfect ? no it isn't. Will it make you a winning forex trader ? not yes, hell yes. How good is it ? You should win 8-9 out of 10 trades.

Providing you learn how to use it properly.

This my daily game plan. Use the 1 hour chart. # 1 use the sentiment, # 2 look at the weekly, # 3 then the daily, # 4 then use the hour to enter the trade.

I recommend that you use the London open and the New York open.

I live in Indiana, I stop entering trades by 10:30 am my time. I trade 3 maybe 4 times a day and no more. 99 % of the time I never trade on Monday. The market maker is setting up the week off of the Monday close. He's putting the herd together, (the sheep). There's plenty of time to trade the rest of the week.

I go for 20 pips and that's it, I'm out on each trade. Unless it's a run away, which is rare.

If you get greedy in this business, I guarantee you 100 % you will be in a losing trade. In this business the winds shift from north to south all the time.

I pick the best trades that I can find out of the eight major currencies, and enter my trades.

Have a plan, and stick and follow that plan. It will change your life.
Patience & Discipline

Thank you for your honest advice. Should the direction and trend always be in the same direction when one trades? Do you trade a cross when they give different pictures?

Going back to usdjpy chart
The direction and trend are both pointing down currently, but will shift when the price retraces down to a level close to where you have drawn your red line and at this point direction and trend will change upwards.

Looking at the weekly and the daily I have the trend higher.
The pair is above the 200 moving average on the daily and the weekly.

Pockerchip you are the most dedicated and unselfish trader I have come across. You share information which has cost you time and money, openly and without hesistation. Thank you for that. However I suppose if one posts all in information on the front page of a newspaper only a handful a people would realise the benefits and use it.
