Googled for tickle algos but google does not know them.
Nowadays Google does not wanted to know everything anymore - or show you it at the first page.But the term "tickle algo" is more an insider term. It's an high frequency algo who is intended to fool the market by submitting in an low activity environment very narrow bids and just removes them a fraction before they are getting filled. Done over and over again (from there comes the term tickle) it slowly moves the market in one direction... until high volume kicks in.
Again... it's more of an insider term and since nobody pays Google to promote this ... you will for sure not find it at the first 3 pages of your Google search.

Taking the average of the sum of all broker statistics is actually a better (i.e. larger) dataset.. I might include that in my analysis from now on.. But I need to be sure first.. Time will tell..*Based on M15 I continue with my classic rinse and repeat: selling pullbacks.. 1.1869 is currently the nearest resistance.. {image}

Hmm... I see the movement nicely gradually down over the day... that reminds me on something. The tickle algos - they can be recognized by steady movements at times of no or very small volume. Today is CPI... and everything is about inflation these days... I noticed many times on days with such important data this slow and gradual movement... only to be total reversed at the news moment. The tickle algos luring over the day the crowd into the opposite direction. Its not a guarantee... but I am getting the suspicion that today is again such a day....
That might explain this 100 pip downward move with little to no volume last month:

Put stop break even when long and take away tp.
Trends have a higher probability of continuing than not.

H4 Status Update
Below are my H4 S/R levels for the next 8 hours or so..

- Bears have the upper hand as mentioned but still have to achieve a candle close below 1.1830..
- 1.1811 would be secondary support that bears also have to crack..
- Slowly slowly the bear pressure becomes more and more obvious, not just for me but for all..
*15 more minutes until H4 candle closes on my broker.. Let's see..
