Rather than repeatedly answering individual questions, I will create this thread and send people here.

Use the filter function for FREE in the Search.

Also, noobs may also find it before they ask questions or request Indicators that can be easily found here.

I strongly suggest that everybody should read the HELP or USER MANUAL for MT4 / MT5

And familiarize yourself with the platform of your choice, click all the icons, explore every option

You can't break it, so I'm told...

Am more curious on your take on at what point does mt4 gets phased out completely?

Given metaquotes no longer updates mt4, at what point do you think aggregator's stp gateway will cease mt4 support completely?

i wish it was easy to convert mt4 tools to mt5 , so i could just forget mt4.

mt5 is way faster ,more efficient. they keep updating it so often.

mt4 is freeze freeze freeze.

What I read on this, is that as long as brokers offer it, MT4 will be around.

But personally, I reckon it will die a natural death when traders abandon it completely

The old saying goes, the customer is always right.

For me, that will be as soon as I can find a quick and easy trade manager as I have for MT4

I have the same one for MT5, so doesn't worry me if MT4 died today

How many indicators are you using anyway?

The MT5 offering is getting pretty big now; anything special you need?

That's one of the problems I have with MT4 now. It freezes many times and more. If only a tool can be provided that makes it easy to convert MT4 files to MT5 seamlessly...that'd be freaking awesome.

Other options are online, in the cloud, wherever, somewhere out there, Branson Outerspace, broker platforms...

im using some symbol/TF changer indicators , and some trade management scripts.

i tried to use the most lag/freeze free tools as i can.

Why do you need ADR V2 when Access Panel will show those levels?

SL&TP Values I know, but Lines Profit Loss sounds the same?

Plus Trade Levels and Predicted TP & SL?

Can you see the Price on the chart?

Nothing there that you couldn't find for MT5 I'm sure

ADR v2 just shows percentage of today's ADR. i dont use ADR lines. my chart actually is very clean...

yeah none of them cannot be found on mt5.

BUT, wait, which one tells you to trade?

Here is a DEMO account I have nearly recover back to starting balance of 100K using only 1 indicator for trades

The other indicators are for price, ADR, symbol, time

And an EA for all risk, trade management

Can you tell which is which?

haha tell you which one gives you trade signal? i think it probably is the 4 bar indy on your chart.

the indicators i use doesnt tell me when to trade.

if i understood you correctly.

btw Runwise trading panel is also very nice trade management EA for both mt4 and mt5. maybe you already know that.

I've been meaning to switch to MT5 for some time. I don't use any fancy EA or indicator so I don't have any problems in that area, and I like the small changes in MT5's UI as well.
But something that really bothers me with MT5 is that charts open very slowly compared to MT4. Opening a new chart window on a new pair takes a long while, sticking at "waiting for update" for a few seconds, then it starts from the today's candle and adds previous candles one by one which progresses so slowly, like it feels like it takes 10 times as much time as MT4 to open a chart window on a new pair that hasn't been cached before.

Is there a reason or a fix for this issue? I thought it could be a problem with my broker but I tested with a demo account on metaquote's server and it was basically the same

But that should only happen the first time; I had that as well, just open all the charts you use regularly and leave the computer on overnight
