FTSE NTBB today was a fail. BillyBar seemed to have worked out for the +5. Both left out. No trades for me today :/

I am again trying to get to grips with the different indices, their different pipvalues and margin costs, different opening times and particularly varying spread values during the day.

Also many of the indicators used for currency pairs don't work or have to have their values adjusted a couple of orders of magnitude. Confusion doesn't help the simplicity I am aiming for.

For the Asian session I am comparing JPN225 with AUS200 at the moment. I think I like the latter best.

For the London Open UK100 (FTSE) seems best, although I don't trade the NTBB Break Out but try to fade the Break Out back to the start (Zero Line).

Thanks very much for this suggestion. I like the 1-2-3 very much, but the main moves on the H1 almost always seem to occur after the NYOpen.

Trading the daily open makes a lot of sense, after a test of the previous day high/low. You don't even have to be concerned when the previous day's high/low has been exceeded as a stop hunt as long as it comes back through the daily open with some commitment.

Claudia's NTBB for FTSE barely seemed to have worked out this morning. Hitting the +20 with no buffer while staying in within the -10 SL.

I did some research in adding a directional bias to the BillyBar setup but it doesn’t seem to improve the profitability.

I applied a SMA as well as applied the 00-04 range established earlier to the BillyBar as a gauge for direction/trend.

Its all crap, the few potential entries you might successfully filtered out will also filter out a lot of winners.

Also i think the hole point of doing this is exactly not to look for direction and rather make use or the momentum/expansion at the session open to grab a few pips.

So i don’t know but having either a different risk/reward ratio instead of the +5 TP and SL at the opposite end of the range or having a working martin gale approach are probably the only two ways here to make it profitable as a stand alone setup/strategy not having to have 2,3,4... more.
