H1 Status Update

My plan for Monday is to keep buying dips... 1.18435 area is in my radars... Once/if long we must see what happens around 1.1880.. Time will tell..

*With "no higher high" I mean that there is still no violation of the previous high that broke above the MA line!

The volume spikes around the Red news on Friday does not suggest we are looking at a market reversal yet, so I agree its still a short until it breaks out of that last higher low.
The bearish move two weeks back contain 50% more volume in that sudden bearish breakout.

I see no reason to buy at present either.

I have an active sell order from 1.18475 (yeh, that spike in the last hour on Friday was unexpected).

After Fridays close EU bulls will try to break it higher, but a failure to do so may leed price to the lower levels below 1807.

As mentioned earlier, price finally arrived at my target area... Closed my long order from 1.1858 and now will wait to see some reaction (or no reaction) before deciding what to do next...

Meanwhile, on M15: Since I am expecting a reaction, I will skip buying 1.18685 area for now but one could continue to rinse and repeat buying dips...

On a side note: I have used many colored moving average indis, but none was perfectly doing what I wanted. Especially, the shift function isn't working properly on other indicators... So this weekend I coded my own and started using it... In case you too would like to use a correctly working colored MA with an extra "vertical shift" functionality, feel free to use my indicator that I shared below (MT4-Build: 1335).. I hope it helps

I'm new here, but an experienced trader. I see a tough task for the bulls ahead. The dollar is building up momentum to continue where it left off before NFP. For now I'm on the sidelines looking for a good short entry.

Here's what's supporting my EURUSD short bias. H3 chart, the EUR hit resistance, no room up, it could find support @ 1.18460, else further down.

We need increasing volume to enable expansion of price. I am watch the data and its disgusting low - under 1/3rd normal levels.

The daily chart is my only reason why I stay away from buying around 1.1885... On this time frame it looks like bears are only waiting until bulls are done. (At least with current picture where both of my MACD lines are still below 0)

Therefore, my intraday plan is to either carefully scalp long the dips on M15 (or to stay on side lines) while keeping in mind that bear pressure could show up at any moment! 1.1885 is the nearest resistance on this time frame!
