I agree with you.
There is no space between sounds they are playing( I don't know how to explain Japanese phrase "ma/間” in English.),
and there is no depth/harmony of sounds.

　cozy/groovy music; ♬♬♬　♬♬♬　♬♬　♬♬♬♬♬♬

Good music,you could locate/feel where guitar,bass,drums,piano etc.is played.
Guitar is left, bass is right, drums is way back,piano is left,vocal is a little bit right........

Minneapolis, just below US/CANADA border, some years after the REPLACEMENTS, HUSKER DU went out.
"Zen Arcade" their best vynil, imho, and PINK TURN TO BLUE my favourite song. 3 min of pure adrenaline!!

It’s sad for a band imo if the record producers are ‘forcing’ auto-tune on singers, as they cannot wait (or afford) for ‘take after take after take’ till the band gets its tune & pitch right on each session.

Not everyone can sing. For example both Eric Clapton & Jimi Hendrix publicly stated they did not like their own voices (singing as such) but their music talent was absolutely sublime.



An example here, I love the beat to this song, it’s got a Punk feel, but the singer’s voice is so softened out with, I assume, the auto-tune.

(I looked around for a live performance to compare it with, but none are available. )


Now the background gals here are ‘clean’ singing imo, and have more power to “their” vocals which are in great pitch & tune (ie no auto-tune).

A foot tappin’ beat (the song featured on the tv show Letterkenny).
