they don't check EA's for evaluation anymore. Only for accelerated and rapid. For accelerated execution EAs are not allowed. I dont know anything about rapid but i presume its monitored because they kicked out some latency arb people recently from there.

Two things really bother me.

One is profit target 10 % and then news release restrictions. Atleast twice I reached 8 % and then lost.

They need to definitely reduce the profit target for phase 1 to 8 %.

Comparitively, with FT, all relaxed and have good review score in Trustpilot.

Twice I lost in FTMO challenge and then I lost my funded account with them once.

But then, it is very very good learning experience for me.

That experience is paying off and my first try with MFF is success.

I have been paid by this firm a handful of times.....so in the end that's all that matters.
I would also point out that there is a way to game this game:

Have multiple accounts w/ multiple 'prop shops', and make sure you trade realistically.

For example, I have 3 40k accounts w/ the5ers. That's a start. If I get 1% a month, that would be a total of 1200/2 = $600 a month for me. I know this isn't much, but eventually I will double that.

At the same time, I will be getting funded with CTI relatively soon, and then I will have another 50k. Suddenly, that 1% is now 1700/2 = $850 a month for me. (I think CTI pays 60%, but I am too lazy to do the actual figure, but you get the point.)

In the end, I plan on having about 6 or 7 accounts that are all copied and growing. In a few years, I should be raking in decent money. Its about being slow and steady. These firms plan on you being impulsive and losing your shit in the process. I want to be the guy that everyone else's fees are paying for.

Adding to this will be others, but I tend to shy away from the ones that have 2 phases of trial, because they are obviously stacked against you.

Well,I know what you talking about.Today just ended my FTMO challenge and I didn't make profit requirement.
Mostly my fault,because something came up this month at family level and I wasn't able to trade this account 100%. Last weekend,when I was barely 2% up I've decided not to push myself and risk breaking another rules and I rather wait for free retake.
I've already confirmed it with support. I should receive credential 2-3 business days after challenge has ended.
The 10% is not that hard,but with all that restrictions and rules put pressure on trader,so 8% could by deal breaker.

Actually, quite the opposite is true. The ones, such as 5ers and CTI, where the initial fee is greater than the DD offer no benefit to the trader. You paid $450 for $400 in DD, the challenge models offer 10000-12000 in DD for 500-700. The 5ers summer plan is good though, $300 for $4000 in DD once you pass. You would be trading much larger DD amounts if you had gone that route. It is not at all about the account equity they are giving you, it is ALWAYS about how much you can lose as that is what you will base your risk and position size on.

My approach to prop funding challenge has changed drastically now.

Though I am ready to face FTMO again, my next priority is FT.

From Monday/ Tuesday onwards, I will be bit free after making balance 700 dollar in MFF evaluation phase 2.

The minimum 10 day period for phase 2 MFF evaluation is getting elapsed on coming Friday.

I hope to get funded account sometime next week moday or tuesday.


Untill such period, I will consider more FTMO trials to sharpen my aggressive approach to Challenge.

Hi all . Great to read about your prop trading experiences.
Restart my 50k FTMO trial this week , 1st time found myself under pressure to pass, so waited it out for free restart trial.

Will start at .5 % risk get a buffer and if need be bump risk up (max 1%),I see no need to rush this.
PVSRA breakout trader.I started a bad habit of top and bottom picking no more, cost me a live account, so have reset my rules and will stick to them.
I see this as a great opportunity for folks like me that have screwed up and have another chance with funding. I can see with time adding accounts this can have nice rewards.
Trading out of New Zealand is at times hard work( Time zone ) will be using more pending orders to help with this .

Surely with all the money you have paid them you could have put the cash into your own account and have kept a 100%. In the end you'd make more. I'd really like to hear from those who can prove they're making much more money than if they'd been trading on their own accounts. But they seem to be few and far between....

Question......if you could have a 100k account with any Prop firm of your choice and you got to keep 75% or 80% of the profits........OR......have 100k of your own money in your trading account and keep 100%. Which would you prefer? I know for me....100000% of the time I choose the Prop Firm. At any giving moment the market could jump right over your SL and take your entire account. I know that if i'm trading someone elses money the worst I can do is lose my fee.
