Disliked{quote} It had been hedged by an opposite position, but the hedging position are closed early due to the cycle reaches its profit lock condition. For example, if using a buy position to hedge a loss sell position, when the total profit of buy cycle reaches the profit lock condition, all the buy position will be closed. Also, the hedging buy position is closed. Till now, I do not figure out how to keep the hedging position in this situation. Before I have found a solution, you have to close the loss position manually.Ignored
Disliked{quote} So how do we know if we have to close manually or if it will close itself?Ignored
DislikedHello Mr. Liang, thanks for sharing this EA. I think you have to improve the hedging function into the code of Robin 1.1Ignored
Disliked{quote} Of course I have to improve the hedging function of Robin. However, it is a difficult problem to be solved. I think, not only I myself but all of you could try to find a solution for dealing with such a situation. Any Idea could you offer?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hedging requires locking or putting the position in a fridge for a certain time . Who can define that time? EA rule :give 50 pips range time to continue in.opposite direction or 20 bars or use both conditions to relase the lock by closing opposite side trade in the hope of reversal coming back and helping.the continuation of the original trend and exit by take profit, breakeven or a stoploss. EA defines different exit rules for (a) continuation (b) failure of continuation.Ignored
Disliked{quote} I am trying to separate hedging cycle from normal cycle so that the hedging positions won't be closed when the cycle reaches the profit lock condition. Now I need alternative exit condition for the hedging cycle to exit. Could you suggest different exit rules for (a) continuation (b) failure of continuation? The plan is, Robin will manage 4 cycles, buy_cycle, sell_cycle, hedge_buy_cycle, hedge_sell_cycle. We already have exit condition for buy_cycle and sell_cycle, we need exit condition for hedge_buy_cycle and hedge_sell_cycle. When a position...Ignored
DislikedRobin 1.1 is a with trend grid trading EA. A with trend grid trading in most of the cases has the hedging effect of loss position. But a with trend EA won't take care of hedging situation seriously. Robin 1.1 can be used to trade. However, it's like gardening. We have to prune bad branches from time to time. The bad branches of Robin 1.1 are the loss positions off hedged. If we want to improve the hedging function of Robin, the hedging function must be dedicated dealing with. To separate hedging positions from normal positions, I use another magic...Ignored

Disliked{quote} Presently I'm using BuildYourGrid EA for MT5, I use the option to add positions with the TREND not against and so far it's profitable. I think you can use this logic for hedging loss orders.Ignored
DislikedIn this case just add SL for the loss order and not to close manually. Thanks!Ignored
DislikedHello, Can anyone on this thread ex plane to me why I am getting a "Zero Divide Error" using expert Robin_1.1 ? I have attached a screenshot of the problem with the Error message enclosed in a red rectangle. {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Perhaps, it is a good idea. That will be the simplest way to modify Robin 1.1. I just need to cut off the loss position when it reaches the virtual SL. However, I had tried this way before, the result seems no good. Theoretically, it should not be worse like that, I am trying to find out the problem. With the same trigger condition to entry, Robin 1.7 is cut off the loss position when it reaches the virtual SL. You can see the result is even worse. {image}{image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} I had checked the "Zero Divide Error" problem. It point to the following code: return(price*ter_tick_size/ter_tick_value/volume); because ter_tick_value is zero. But why it is zero? the variable ter_tick_value is initiated by the following code: ter_tick_value=MarketInfo(Symbol(),MODE_TICKVALUE); It will be executed on every iteration of EA at each tick value changed. Normally, the value should not be zero unless your broker return a zero value to you. TickValue means the tick value in the deposit currency, it should never be a zero value....Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hello Mr. TeChaoLiang, Thanks for trying to help me. I was thinking, maybe it has something to do with the amount of digits after the decimal point in the price. If you notice. I only had problems with GU and EU which has 5 digits after the decimal point. I did not have a problem with UJ which only has 3 digits after the decimal point.Ignored
DislikedHello Mr. Liang, can you please advise how to make working the buttons Buy & Sell, because none of the green buttons are operable. Thanks.Ignored
Disliked{quote} When the color of the buttons are green, none of any operation will effect. The buttons operation is from Icarus, not my own design and I am not changing them. You can modify the setting of Max_positions to zero to force the color turn to yellow, then you can use the buttons buy/sell. I will add an option in settings like Icarus 2.2.4 to Enable Alert Yellow Directly in the next version of Robin.Ignored
