If rates go up, the dollar gains
If rates go down, the dollar gains
If rates stay sideways to slightly higher, the dollar weakens - I think it is a really stupid bet to make. It worked in April & May, but how much longer?

Well, Hesron, I am puzzled now. 31 hours ago, you were certain that we go down to what you referred to as "shakeoff" before we can move further to the upside. And now you're full of hope buyers will come in full power... heh. What do you think has changed so substantially?

depend on ichimoku buyer will trouble if 1.2230 not hit, but seller weak too .... probably according to the rumors that the market is maintaining tf monthly closing prices today ... if that is true then the current weekly candle should also be kept bullish .... confusing

One thing for sure: I can think buying ONLY if M15 candles begin to open above 1.2201... but even then I would still watch 1.2212 reaction because the way is not cleared out before bulls push it well above damn resistance level..

In other words: For now I keep selling up swings..

Edit: Meanwhile 2 times scalp selling 1.2201 and closing at 1.2190 so far, collected +20 pips inside this lazy arse day.. Now from here on I don't think this will keep working forever.. I now expect a break from either side and therefore I wait on side lines to witness which side it will be.. No rush!!!! I stick to M15 chart for today because very low volume..

Ata, I don't wanna distract from intraday EUR/USD trading - my inquiry still regards the pair though as it has the most volatility and least spread in general - but just let me ask you one more question as regards the automation of trading versus your slanted lines representing support/resistance levels... do you also put your thoughts in figuring out which of them are worth noting or could they be drawn algorithm-based as well to a large extent (such as 90 % or so)? Because, you know, I can be a great programmer/algorithm coder, but that is not the value added to the EA. The value added is a simple whilst efficient algorithm that will largely succeed in figuring out the short term direction of PA as well as where in the interval PA actually is. Those would be the places where tiny trades could be very successful.

I don't want to blabber and speculate today.. This is my last post because NY session will be probably a place for the walking dead..

So, normally based on H1 I should buy 1.2188 but you know that the man with the hammer is waiting for bulls around median line of envelope.. Can bears break 1.2188??? And can they also break green line level 1.2183 afterwards???? If yes we definitely go down.. If not this sideways circus continues..

Trade safe or stay away and come back tomorrow.. Cheers

Good day everyone. I hope you are all well.

Still a very tight range...Bears are winning it for now, but its not done till its done and this ranging could last even longer.

Buying from the lows-to-mid of range, with tight SL, moving to BE fast, as usually does this crazy. Just bought again 1.21865 with a 4 pips SL.

Would buy a return to 2193 and if this drop does not go lower than 2165, will probably keep on doing so.

Sipping my espresso and just had a nice laugh thanks Ata !

Cheers all, and I want to wish you all a great week.
If I don't mention SL and/or TP = longer-term setup possibly in the works!

Market movements cannot be predicted with certainty ....... for example on the closing market on Friday, who would have thought that the upward movement was so strong (price manipulation) ... yes, now we just answered, that the price movement was up closing market is, price manipulation ...... today is a sideways market .... who could have guessed that because the movement of the closing market on Friday was very strong.

I dont see good long positions for now. If someone wants to trade, then I'd reccommend short one. But as for me today I'd have no open positions on eurusd. I'd wait a little bit...

Yes this topic doesn't belong here.. My quick suggestion for you: Don't think.. just do! Start coding without coding.. What I mean is: start writing sentences of your idea workflow.. Example:

--- Start
---- Get price of ma5 and store it in A
---- Get the price of ma20 and store it in B
----- Is A > B?
------- If yes set trend T = 1 // bullish
------- If no set trend T = -1 // bearish
etc.. etc...

You get the idea.. Do this first for your whole methodology.. In the beginning you don't even need to write one single line of code.. Only basic sentences will suffice.. Good luck..

Let's continue posting around EURUSD.. Thanks

1.2189 is now nearest resistance on M15.. While candles open below we should stay away from scalp-buying!

*For those who are short, stops must stay at least at 1.2199 or higher..

Sure, I did not mean to question your post. I was just curious. Still I sense a support breakout is a lot more likely than breaking the resistance.
My senses can be mistaken, of course.

On another note, when will this range end and at which END is not often the most important question for me, it is keeping Sls low and TP high, unless scalping, which this day up to now has been ideal for.... I would have normally sold at 2190 on a volatility from resistance setup, if it wasnt for Friday... I consider this down move, up to now, a normal retracement of Friday last move. Also, price often gets caught up in such a tight range right after a strong move, only to follow through a bit later after building the necessary momentum, or start a reversal (which does not interest me as my positions are secured and am in for the long-term still)

No, this PA today is just plain useless. I will only set up a price alarm just in case it decides to break out in either direction. Am going to stay on the sidelines till then. Happy trading everyone!
