thanks for the reply and comments!! I’m really not that experienced at all. Traded for a couple years or so back on 2007 through 2009. August 2008 through early 2009 was crazy. I’m guessing some of you traded that and hope all did well. Crazy swings. Few months ago when I started demo reading again I was shocked by how little the pairs seemed to move from what I remembered.

back to the stops and take profits. I’m open to any suggested reading materials or systems. Have been going through Ata thread on the effortless trading. Amazing content and very well done charts. Just a lot of info and i find myself going down google and YouTube rabbit holes reading a phrase or indicator or whatever I don’t know and then get lost in that for an hour or two. Loving it.

Right now my goal is simply to try and “make” say $50 a day. And I’ve been doing that easy. Will have 1-2 trades a day I make $30 to sometimes +$100 but then will take a couple steps back. Like today is started positive having a trade from last night which closed +60 but then gave back most of that on 2 dummy ones. Just trying out different approaches and figuring out my guidelines. Like I don’t think I’m a scalper. Once I get out of a trade I should have some set time I wait or something. I don’t know.

I find it all absolutely fascinating though and probably click refresh on this thread every 15 minutes every minute I’m awake. If I wake up at 3am for whatever reason one eye still closed I hit refresh and check my trading app lol

again good to see my thinking isn’t too far off base. Most of my “losses” might not have to be if I just got patient which includes being able to take a drawdown AND be able to re-enter with more position at a better rate. I often go back and look at trades from previous days when I got in and out and what happened after and see “wow if I just waited 6 more hours and maybe added another 10k here and here I’d have done really really well”

so it’s not that my big picture is off just my timing and resilience and persistence needs some room to maneuver. And all of that requires capital. I mean I could be trading .01 of a lot but man I’m here to make money. I know there is also the asshole pucker factor which no amount of skill can overcome. When I’m down 50 pips at .1 that’s way way different then a full lot.

which makes me ask what I often wonder if those posting here - what’s average position size? Guessing all over the board.

my original positive trade I closed before hitting the losing streak was a short @ 2234 and closed @ 2202

from there kept trying to go long and getting nicked looking for a bottom. Now is when I’ll probably think short again lol

Last night I've got +5 pips from 2nd long order.. Then I left my main order from 1.2225 under water and went to sleep with a pending scalper long order at 1.2180 with +5 pips target and that played out well.. So +10 pips collected so far under draw down..

For now waiting with main order to get in long again with a new 2nd order.. Somebody asked would you close if price hits 1.2175.. The answer is I might based on how it hits that level.. If it gives me clues that further drops are coming then definitely yes...So far so good though!

*I never hedge and I never open more than 2 orders at the same time.. 2 is my max...

My H4 S/R levels for the next 12 hours or so..

1. I dimmed out everything that is not so important for me today..
2. I can keep my bullish hopes and tolerate draw down until I see that 1.2170 is broken..
3. For now the upside seems to be limited with 1.22065 area but who knows, maybe momentum could break nearest resistance and bring bulls back to the upper league.. If not I would maybe close my main order and run away with tiniest loss possible.. Time will tell..
4. Overall it is still a bearish day BUT retail trader statistics are not supporting bears like they did with bulls on previous days and that gives me courage for now.. If statistics begin to favor bears I would see it as red alert!

I will keep updating you anyway.. For now I hope it helps

Good morning folks! It is now right between ~1.2225 and ~1.2165 and I will stay on the sidelines watching it quite closely to see how it's developing. My current bias is favoring bears though (which I am not that comfortable with thus lacking confidence). Anything can happen though. Good luck!
