you can hold trades over the weekend but you have to ask for permission 3 days prior to the weekend and u need to meet some requirements

3 days before is no good cause most likely the trades that I have 3 days ago will be closed. The new ones that I will
open Thursday or Friday will need to be carried over the weekend.
For the requirements I am very conservative, if it is the drawdown my drawdown is about 2% max 3% if I get one,
like now I am taking the FTMO challenge and my drawdown was $230 on 50k, after I just went positive
Anyways, I have other options luckily

Hi,I'd like to clarified something with FTMO veterans,maybe Thomas will respond.
1. month challenge is clear -10 trading days -10% ,I don't expect to finished it earlier.However step2 verification 5% - 60 days,that's my question.If I'll successfully finished it earlier,will I get "real" account earlier or they will be waiting ,till 60 days period will end?
And 2nd question all those up to 90 days,I'll be trading for free,only for opportunity to get a chance tarding for money and refundable fee?
So if I'm successful,I can expect first pay out after 4 months?

10 days is minimum on both stages. You have UP TO 30 days in challenge and UP TO 60 days in verification. After verification, you will get account and that trading period is 30 days. At the end of that, you get 70% of whatever the profits plus your initial fee refunded. Hope that answers.

Sorry not really.What I meant is:
1 if you finish 5%/60 days verification in e.g. 20 days will you have to wait 'till end of the 60 day period or they'll provide you with trading account earlier. yes or no?
2.challenge and verification you trading for free,only money you'll receive is refundable fee. yes or no.?

1 you will get your FTMO account within a week of completion both stages.
2.You will receive your initial payment along with your first month profit split from FTMO account if any.
on a postive roll...

If you can't get a domiciliary account yourself, you could pay using the account/debit card of a close friend or relative who has one. Alternatively you could send the money to someone overseas to help make the payment.

I advised I-5 to go on Nairaland and look for agents in the business section who help people make international payments for a fee. I think that was the option that worked for him. Be sure to do all your due diligence before working with any one there.

Hi,

I want to share my experience so far with FTMO. I passed both the evaluation and verification and went live last month. I ended the first month in profit and received both my refund for the Challenge and my share of the months profit in two separate payments. I am now on a second month and have had no issues with fills or spreads.

So far the only thing I can think of the FTMO could improve on it the time taken to give out the next months account credentials. From the profit split day it took 4 days (including the weekend but those days count as BTC and ETH are open to trade but I don't trade them anyway). I understand that they need to verify results but this pushes back profit split day by 4 days which over a 12 month period could result in 48 trading days not able to trade (holidays excluded).

In all I am proud to be an FTMO Trader.

Hello traders,
a week has passed by and here we are with another short weekly update, so let's get right into it.

On the 17th of May, we encountered a quick freeze on cryptocurrencies between 23:20 and 23:55 platform time. We’ve received several complaints from the traders affected by the issue and as far as I know, nearly all of those cases have been already settled.
No other issues were recorded and there are no planned maintenance breaks for the weekend either.

However, certain adjustments on trading hours of a few instruments are to be expected during the upcoming week.
Specifically, ALVG (Allianz AG) and VOWG_p (Volkswagen AG) will be both closed on Monday, 24th May due to the Whit Monday holiday.
On Friday the 28th of May, the UK100.cash index will close early at 23:00 platform time (GMT+3).
Our thread remained extraordinarily quiet this week with just about 13 posts. That could be a precursor to the upcoming summer holiday season, but we’ll see about that during the following weeks. Now, let’s move onto those few posts I wanted to respond to...

Hello Ade619, just as Koop suggested, if you do not have your own bank account, you may use someone else’s bank account to pay for the Challenge, just make sure to beware that once you would finish your first profitable month as an FTMO Trader, the initial fee would be refunded back to the same bank account. I would also add that alternatively, you can use Skrill wallet (which can be also funded by Bitcoin) to pay the initial fee.

Hi Simply-Me, pipmaster77 and Rmg both gave you correct answers to your questions. You do not have to wait for the whole trading period of 30/60 days to expire, once you meet all the Trading Objectives, you will automatically move on to the next stage as soon as we review your trading, which is done within one business day. Your profits made during the FTMO Challenge/Verification period can not be withdrawn as during these phases, you’re trading on a demo account without being connected to the real market.

Hi Megaid, we start processing the Profit Split on the next business day after the Profit Split Day. This means that if your Profit Split Day falls onto Friday, Saturday or Sunday, we don’t get to review it till Monday. Once the review is completed, we send you an email confirming that the Profit Split has been approved and then we need you to confirm your preferred withdrawal. Most subsequent FTMO Accounts are sent within a few hours of the trader confirming their withdrawal. Although I understand this might be a nuisance, the 48 estimated days are not really realistic as it assumes that your every Profit Split falls onto the weekend and thus take longer to process. Realistically speaking, traders „lose“ on average only 1-2 days for each trading period. I’m still glad to hear that you’re generally happy with your journey so far.

Hello.

Are there any reasons why a FTMO customer after paying and passing through the challenge and verification stages could be rejected as a "funded trader" ?

In the General Terms and Conditions it says something like,

7.1 The Services of the FTMO Trader are provided to the Customer on the basis of an individual agreement executed between the Customer and a third party (“FTMO Account Agreement”). Provider recommending Customer as a candidate for the FTMO Trader Program in no way guarantees Customer’s acceptance into the FTMO Trader Program, i.e. that the third party would enter into the FTMO Account Agreement with the Customer. Provider is not responsible for Customer being rejected by the FTMO Trader Program for any or no reason.

There are even more paragraphs sounding quiet vague and left open with advantage to FTMO.

Hi,

I just got a SL hit on XAUUSD, and let me say you this is unacceptable as I got stopped out at 1878.49 while the price never went to this level in any other broker/quotation online, all my accounts with other brokers didn't get this SL hit and didn't even get close to reaching it out and are actually running on profit for this trade!
I will attach a screenshot of the SL on metatrader and some quotations I got from tradingview.
I was trusting FTMO and didn't think I would get such a treatment.
PS: this is NOT because of spreads, I was monitoring everything.

That's not the point, FTMO quotation did go to my SL lows for less than a second, but the point is their quote IS WRONG, nowhere else did XAUUSD even go lower than 1879, even not lower than 1880 on most brokers!

The chart is here. End of the day reset. Widen your SL's or close out your trades before the reset.

Technically, there is no such thing as a WRONG quote. Everyone uses different LPs, aggregate feeds, etc. True raw spread broker will show best available bid/ask, while your market makers will add their markup to the feed. Takisd can confirm my statement, I believe, as he has been in the broker business.
