If it is just the representative’s stance and higher ups are unaware then I think it’s only fair they have a chance to review and rectify.

If this is not the case and higher ups are aware but stand by their stance then I will bring it into the public domain and let the people decide on what is right and wrong here.

I mean it looks now like you are using public blackmail on the company. So I am more likely to agree with the company if thats the route you are choosing to take. The higher ups know everything about the company at all times, its a small company in terms of human numbers so its unlikely a significant complaint goes past them. So you can blame their management for their staffs performance. But you are choosing not to, you are choosing to say "before i make this public, give me what I want". Reminds me of traders who think "account flipping 100$ to 100k" is a thing and when they lose they say "Give my money back or ill write bad reviews about you".

Not at all.

I have taken 10 total challenges. Passed 4 and failed 6.
3 of the six fails were questionable but I accepted them and moved on.
I am not blackmailing, I have been waiting 7 days since my last email contact for a response. I think I have been more than patient to be fair.
How else am I to get a response?

If my style was as you are referring to then I would have done this a long time ago.

please don’t jump to conclusions probably based on what is so common with people who are sore losers in this industry.

My arguments with ftmo are very valid to say the least.

One part of the argument (but not the main point) is slippage of 1% of the of the traded asset which caused a mdl violation. As I said this is one part of the argument.

I do believe also the higher ups are aware but I cannot be 100%.

Totally agree with your comment. They have no limits or rules except that 100:1 leverage stops traders from opening 100 lot trades but that is the only barrier. So the the 10 day rule is really ridiculous in that case. If one reaches the pass figure in one day, one is not going to open any more trades for the next 9 days unless forced to.

I think you should lay it all out here where you're guaranteed a response within the week.
Others may have or may soon be affected by such issues as you experienced so it would be helpful to know if and how it was resolved.

Also, any slippage related issue is almost usually a lost cause, even with brokers, especially if it happened during a major news event or around market close/rollover period.

he said he had a 1% market move slippage, now i know forex pairs dont move that much in a day, and even if he traded indices thats still not possible to have such a high slippage, so unless he says what exactly happened is a bit suspicious

try to trade 50 lots with 2-3 pip stop and see what happens with slipagge.

its tottaly possible.

i would like to see his mt4 trade when the slipage happened on the timeframe he took the trade.

accusing of slippage without refairing to the conditions is not going to prove a thing

Those additional trades with one micro lot cannot be considered real trades, they are just random trades used to complete 10 trading days rule. Therefore your comment is wrong. I think it's pretty clear by now that they are fully aware that traders can place Micro Trades on the remaining days of the 10 Minimum Days requirement, it's just that for Risk Management purposes they HAVE to have a Minimum 10 Trading Day rule either way so that traders won't think they can live off 1-2 lucky trades at all times. So I'm pretty sure you are wasting your time questioning them about their 10 Minimum Day rule.

Yes you can have a lucky trade or two, and continue with Micro Lots from there, but it still won't stop them from putting out the Minimum Days Rule on their platform, and they have all the rights to do so, why? Because that is a good & professional rule that will stop lucky gamblers from not only losing their money on the first day but trading FTMO's capital poorly in the future.

Personally, I think their rules are good, and they will make your risk management better.
Guys maybe I'm wrong but I think that most of us that are trading challenges are not taking into account the huge advantage of trading a demo account. For instance, I was thinking of placing a buy stop yesterday just before NFP on Gold but because I'm so used to trading a live account I was terrified of the slippage if in fact it spiked. Well it did but of course trade would have been filled at a much better price on the demo account and would have resulted in a nice gain. Once a very strong move has started, as we all know it's very difficult to overcome one's fear and open a trade.

OutThere brought up the question a while ago and i had a chat with support about taking advantage of that sort of strategy...
Response I got was -

" On the challenge and verification there are no restrictions on trading around major news events, HOWEVER!!! Traders are prohibited from employing any Straddling strategies around the news at any point in time, on evaluation or funded account"

He/she went on to explain that Straddling in this case refers to setting orders on both sides of price before a major news event to take advantage of spikes.

I think you should confirm with them again before trying it so it doesn't cost you the challenge.

I think he means a 1% move. For example, EURUSD is 1.20000. 1% of 1.20000 is 0.012.
1.20000 + 0.012 = 1.2120. A 1% move on EURUSD is in this case 120 pips.

Hi Nikos

you are mistaking 1% of acc size vs 1% of asset price.

the traded asset was eth/usd and price across all exchanges at the time by the min was between 2286 and 2301.
I executed the trade on ftmo log @ 2285.98 and was given 2259 which is a difference of between $26.

this equates to over 1% of the traded assets price.

This happened on 18/4/21 which was just before the big up moves started to happen.

Funnily enough you keep mentioning 50 lots. 50 lots was exactly my trade size in the effected trade but however with eth/usd and other crypto, lot sizes are measured by 1 not 10. 50 lots in this instrument = $50 per $1 movement.

Please bear in mind this happened before the massive jumps in price this month.
The average daily move at the time in question was roughly 3%.

Done for the day on the free trial. This time all s/l were counted correctly on the Metrix whether in profit or loss. Happy to see this is resolved for now.

However if this happens in this future as that happened every other day on previous free trials, I will report here again.


If all good for the full 10 days, then I will start a paid challenge.
