Trading recommendations for the EUR/USD


The technical picture of the EUR/USD pair on the 4-hour chart is unambiguous. The upward trend continues. However, the price on Friday was fixed below the critical line, so a pullback or correction is possible. The pair may try to go down to 1.2084 (Senkou Span B line). In general, we see that the movement is not too strong now, with frequent and rather deep corrections. A kind of "swing", but with a clear upward slope. Therefore, it is recommended to trade for a buy on the 4-hour timeframe when the price returns above the Kijun-sen line. Recall that the pair is already very close to its local and 3-year highs. Most likely, they will be overcome.

Here is the simplified version of my daily S/R levels..

  1. 1.2186 is nearest resistance..
  2. 1.2169 is nearest support..
  3. Intraday wise bulls still have the upper hand but they need to climb back above 1.2186 for bullish continuation..

We have been through this territory up and down for quite a few times by now, however my unreliable gut tells me we could see levels close to 1.23 today. Or, of course, the opposite in the downward direction. There is plenty of room there as well. I suspect I will not be opening new trades today unless something decisive comes into play. Volume still low but buying dips still seems to be the better option.. Especially while price on H4 is now above 1.2173 and while bulls are succeeding in climbing even above 1.2192 inside these minutes.. Therefore: Beware dear bears! My two cents..

*H4 chart below shows all potential levels for the next 8 to 12 hours.. Later I will update again..
**For now 1.2188 area looks good for opening new long orders.. Stops could go a little below 1.2173..

Based on H4:

  1. Until 1.2200 becomes support nearest support is 1.2180!!!!
  2. Once/if 1.2200 becomes support next bull target is 1.2234 and then 1.2266
  3. If bears surprise us and drag this down below 1.2180 then it would mean that my AB=CD pattern is still in play.. That way bear targets would be TP1: 1.2150 area, TP2: 1.2050 and maybe TP3: 1.1980..

Have decided to follow my gut and go long from 1.21972, TP ~1.2270, SL tight below the day's low. I just feel bulls could make it today. They already know most of the way there from the past days. :-)
