Disliked{quote} you remember the TP incident.. I tell you, lucky days. Whenever i get this such a streak of luck, it is usually followed by even greater pain. I'm going to have to close up shop early for today. I'm looking at IG broker client sentiments and it seems clients are net short. {quote} Just checked your website.. Don't speak nor understand your language but the charts look good, I think i took that CADCHF trade the other day too. Big ups.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Koop I wish I am wrong about today btw. Oh beware of the IG broker client sentiments. I was fooled by it when trading GU earlier this year... I wanted to go long 12 Apr but I saw majority of clients there are long so I didn't... turns out that was the bottom of this waveIgnored

Disliked{quote} Nah Lol, i'm not trading using the sentiments, at least not yet. That's Nik's realm.Ignored
Disliked{quote} its not that. all brokers that i check had the same issue on the reversal spots. sentiment is correct from time to time but u cant trade with sentiment alone. cant remember if i said that here or another thread but on todays high sentiment was more long than it was on the 3 days ago high. they begin to go long. so that is why this might be a reversal spot.{image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} {quote} I looked at sentiment to help me confirm my TA which said to buy but the sentiment said most retail where already stuck in longs from 1.38 (and still buying) so I didn't... so yes it can be very distracting and an obstacle for trading. In the end I found out IG only had around 80k clients worldwide so perhaps that is not representative enough tho sometimes it does work like you said. I also checked another local broker - it splits into all clients vs top clients. And guess what? Top clients been bearish crude since 59 all the way...Ignored

Disliked{quote} I did try it but they are often wrong at turning points... and when 1 or 2 broker gives reverse signal of the others... well no idea which one has more valid signal.Ignored
Disliked{quote} use the average % i also believe you are using the sentiment wrong. its not ment for reversals, but for continuation, and not as a a signal but as a bias. i just happened to spot somehting that may or may not be used for reversalsIgnored
Disliked{quote} Also, keep in mind, if you are using a MM broker, and part of that model is B-booking...what stops them from skewing the data. They will do whatever it takes to get you on the wrong side. TRUST NOBODY!!! lolIgnored

Disliked{quote} I thought of that too especially since I found some of them used to work v well before 2020. I am also suspecting the data could be 'manipulated' to get us on the wrong side. {quote} On 12 Apr when GU made bottom, what signal did the sentiments there flash? Mine was showing me retail been bagholders since 1.38 (and averaging in longs and was 65-70% all in longs and fresh ones added) so yes there was no way to tell that was reversal point - tho I did read too that retail can be right at turning points. In fact, one wld have...Ignored
