Playing with TradeStation. I like the spreads and the chart prints. Quick sim trade on SP500 Micros ( Futures) and out and still made a few dollars.Might stay with them as I can do most things off the chart. Plus they have humans on the end of the phone.
Nasdaq -my usual horse followed similar trend to SP500.

Cable 08-00 break. low broke for just about enough, i didnt tarde it.

The 2 guys are leaving later, they should of left last night.
BUTTTTTTTTTTTTT, because they have had such a good week, they decided to stay one last day, lol.

Hey Claudia. Do you have any fixed routine / trading plan in place that you try to follow day in day out? Or it is more like you trade what you see / feel like would work out the best for you?

It seems like many here lately are all over the place and making money trading a hundreds of different instruments and approaches while i am trying to follow one specific thing and keep struggling with it. Its really hard for a noob like me to gain any consistency here lol. Might be best i should leave the topic, idk.

I currently try to build some grid based / martin gale "recovery zone" strategy around the BillyBar to get the +5 (even if it fails). I am not sure yet as it seems to hide pipfalls like anything else. If you want to trade a rather large position size and be able to call it a day as soon as possible with a few pips it might lead to trouble on these ranging days with more than 3 false breakouts to one side not even reaching to a +5. Or you would need to have unlimited amount of capital on your account to provide the margin to survive a cycle of 10+ or more failed breakouts. At least there would be not too much of "maybe that / maybe" this involved...

It looks like i like to have clear structured pre-defined routines with not so much discretionary involved, hence leaving out the psychological aspect of letting your trading become emotional affected.

In fact, I'm not so averse to Risk to Reward anymore

DER DERRRRRR, i am back.
The guys have all shut down and are now packing away PC's ..
They are happy and they have no problems, my bot works.yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.
It was them all along.

As i have posted in the past.
Cable is not running as normal. Or the way i trade it isnt.

What am i always saying. I say i fix failures. The 08-00 break is good but fixing a failure is more difficult.
I do not do difficult, i look around and trade.
Trading FTSE , Nifty 50 is more trend oriented. (i do not normally give a toss about trend).`with dax not far behind.
So my trading is still the same , but should i get a fail.i can trade it good again a lot easier than cable.

Trade well all.

Like someone said, if the markets change thus affecting the approach you use; then either change your approach ( look in your toolbox) or find another instrument more amenable to your existing approach. I think Billy is saying that if something changes and trading it becomes difficult - then do as I mentioned at the beginning of this post. But pay no serious heed to me because am am a very small fish here
