I think as long as H4 keeps opening above 1.2144 it looks fine for your long. High probability of seeing highs above 1.2175 I reckon, because we were hovering at this threshold so long today, probably lots of stop-losses gathering around there.

The trend can turn easily within one day...and most people are too late to see it...so they get trapped with trades in the previous trend.
Everyone can see the chart, but only a few can actually read it.

What did you use as confirmation of the breaking ?


I have closed a long for a loss of -27. For now, will not take any long setups under 2139. We could be heading for a normal 2080s-2110s correction.
If I don't mention SL and/or TP = longer-term setup possibly in the works!

When I posted it it was not broken yet. Now it broke to the downside, not as expected. Well sometimes it breaks to the downside and turns at the level of the peak, but seems not the case here.
@josip: Yes it was on M3, but looked good. Generally you are right, lower hit ratio for lower frequency.

was that trade stopped out or you manually closed it? At what point did you think “uh oh this one could be in trouble” vs it just being under water some which often happens?

Totally agree, to play this you have to always stay focused. In a blink of an eye everything changes ...within the day, hours and minutes!

I'm short from 2155. SL to BE now. Targeting 2095ish area. Looking to buy at that area as well.

Hi Monk, it was stopped out.

I did not think “uh oh this one could be in trouble”. What I usually do is close my most recent trade in one direction if I get an equally or more strong setup in the other direction. In this case, the only strong enough short setup to counter the potential that long still had was only 9 pips above the longs SLs, not enough to justify the close for that particular strategy.

Losses are very important to me, just as important as wins.
If I don't mention SL and/or TP = longer-term setup possibly in the works!

Daily S/R Levels for Tuesday

Nearest target and supportive area sits roughly around 1.2102/12.. Still waiting for this correction to finish..

Bulls have to deal with strong sell pressure each time they come closer to 1.2170/85 area..
