I will try existing a losing trade earlier and maybe getting a better reward than the +5 at times instead of placing a counter trade. I see very often actually the break is good for far more than +5.

Then maybe moving my stop up once i am +7 or so to break even and let it run but not giving it more room than a -10/15 against me where I would then take the stop loss instead and wait for the next day. I guess its still a poor risk/reward but maybe it could end up net profitable by the end of a month at least this way without having to do all these random fixes I did so far, increasing position sizes after a fail and so on.

Hi all,
Cable 08-00 break. the high has broken and retraced down. i am not trading it.
Time now is 08-50, we could of entered a retrace trade. ( i call it opportunist trade). and made %%%.
i am busy concentrating on Dax and Nifty 50 so far. already taken a few points off long.
Trade well all. t now 08-53

My bias is long until the 00-00 4 hour range low is broken.

chart shows cable 08-00 .
1 = bar broke high and then retraced down. We could go long anywhere on the drop/retrace.
2 = same again price dropped so we could go long.

A pleasant surprise albeit it could have gone the other way. So yes it pays to check the calendar, which to be honest, if I did I would have stayed out for a while.

Edit: Apologies for the poor chart. I am still getting used to the paucity of drawing tools on tradeStation. They are sufficient for trading ( I only need a couple of lines) but not so good if you want to write a story denoting areas etc on your chart. I might ask them to put me on TradeView charts since I have used them before.

the unemployment rate is rising, so interest rates will stay low, so thats good for the market.
trading is like dancing, don't think and just listen to the music!

Hi Mr T, today was good.
i concentrated on Dax and Nifty 50 and had some good breaks.
Just after NFP i saw that big green candle on cable, i just had to short it. ended up shorting it three times lol.

FTSE was brilliant as well, but i only looked on.
Trading 2 pairs at a time for me is more than enough.
(My 3rd cable short was pure fun).
