Geometrically, this is an ideal way for setting the scale of a chart and squaring a swing that incorporates relevant price action:
- draw 2 rectangles on 2 connected swings (arrows)
- draw circle on right swing
- adjust chart until the perimeter of the 2 rectangles and circle perimeter intersect
- pull in corners of rectangles to intersection point (square conversion) and draw the 2nd diagonal (red) for the square...the 1st diagonal is the lower side of rectangle drawn on left swing)
