Disliked{quote} Thx a lot, I would love to see Bollinger instead of CoG, they do not repaint and from my Beta I know they will bring good things to the EA. Will check your version and come back with my thoughts!Ignored
thanks

Disliked{quote} Trailing stop modification also creates a load on the server. Like spread allowance there should be trailing stop allowance to facilitate smooth acceptance by the server.Ignored
Disliked{quote} it is very simple: if you use OnTimer, you can set any seconds instrad of 2 seconds in code below so each update will be each 2 seconds instrad of each tick. even if there is no ticks, update will be each two seconds {image} while if you prefer OnTick with counter: also it is very simple (no genuity here) : fIgnored
Disliked{quote} OnTimer() does not trigger in the tester so it can't be used as suggested - the correct approach is to maintain a LastTick value in the OnTick() function that just returns if insufficient time has passed. However, in actual trading, the OnTimer() function can be used to call OnTick() so that there is a minimum amount of activity during very slow markets.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi, as said before, I don´t have experience, but out of my head I would be optimistic the EA can handle it. Please try by yourself and report back to us. For the new function I am looking for the option of a manual start of the cycle, so then you could do what you are looking for straight from the EA. CheersIgnored
Disliked{quote} Trailing stops result in no appreciable server load if correctly implemented - the only time there's a noticeable issue (which often results in brokers blocking the offending trading accounts) is when poorly coded trailing stop code sends modify requests for the same SL level. The issue is easy to spot as there are repeated warnings posted on the Experts and Journal tabs and easily prevented by ensuring the new SL level is higher than the previous level for buy orders / lower than the previous level for sell orders.Ignored
Disliked{quote} You are more than welcome to do so. Most likewise you gonna find out that - depending on the used settings . there will be a doomsday drawdown from time to time. Griding is risky - when your yearly goal is higher than 10 %. So my answer to this is to have a payout-schedule prepared. At the moment I am doing this on my live account like this: 1K --> 2K (1K are taken out of the account) 1K --> 3K (1K are taken out of the account) 2K --> 5K (2K are taken out of the account) At the moment I am 740 € away from this step 3K --> 8K (3K are taken...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hey MaPi. wanted to start by saying this is a super thread you created here. I am willing to start and tweak the EA a little bit as well. Also, I fully agree with this pay-out system you have, I think that is the only way to stay afloat on the markets if you want a decent return. May I ask what EA settings you use with this pay-out strategy? Are these the default ones? Please let met know. Cheers.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Do you need any setting to ensure the trailing stop is modified smoothly without the server blocking it?Ignored
DislikedAlthough, there are many OrderModify functions in the source code of Icarus, but they are not called by Icarus grid trading logic.Ignored
DislikedI put some codes in Icarus_2.2 such that the working time of Icarus can be restricted. Icarus works only at the the working time you set. If not in the working time, it won't open or close any orders, also no trailing stop. It just sleep. When it wakes up, it takes care the orders as it usually does. I run back test of the EA only on London and New York sessions, the results seem not bad. You should use your MT4 server time to set the time values. {image} {file} {file}Ignored
