That's why I never hold positions through the weekend. Been hurt badly before.

I do enjoy gap plays, like the ones we saw on several pairs a few weekends ago, but not when the spread is wider than the gap.

Your Broker made 25 pips spike my broker max went 1.1903 you should complain and ask for money back or to reopen new position with same prices if they refuse to do so tell to them your are going to make public every where in social media and trading forums and they will change mind because they do not want to have bad name.

It's IG US, I will be calling them. Here is my resistance line that held on every other charting software at 1.1902 that I had from last week. I put my stop at 1.19218, 20 pip safety and in case of spread. The high was my exact position to the pip like they had been doing to me all last month. I no longer feel this is chance, I was stopped to the 0.3 of the spread. Even the bid/ask of other brokens didn't even come close to this, and I was taken out at 1.19218. does anyone else have this number?

Anyone else have this number from IG? I was stopped at the black line i drew, 20 pips over the ask of other brokers at the time. This is a 15 min chart. My charting software shows 1.19112 as the high for the ask here.

Update: I called IG , 1 hour later they put my position back to the exact price and credited back the loss from that trade without much question. The result is fair and approved relatively quickly since I pointed out the difference in multiple brokers, but I did not get much of a reason as to why there was such a discrepancy in the first place

I have sent an email as this transaction is under "investigation" apparently and to see if there's anything that they can say that will make any sense to me rather than just vague generic answers like "low volume sessions". Had I been quiet, I would've just taken this loss with the others who may have been potentially stopped from that as well.

If this kind of post is not allowed here Ata, I won't respond with the follow up. My broker is IG US, just don't want this kind of thing to happen to others. I don't think I would've called without your post Enis, so thank you. I could still take the same exact loss though if price goes back up, so guess we'll stay tuned haha

About trading: If we make it down to 1.18386, that's where I expect a hard bounce up so I'm Looking to TP my short and switch to long at 1.18396 (+1 pip) 10 pip SL. Still very bullish long term, just in a greedy and potentially backfiring short trade because I think a dip might happen. If I get stopped, I'm only interested in buying dips for the rest of the week until proven otherwise

Hmm, a broker as big as IG can do such a mistake ? I'm very confused now, does anybody else ever experienced this kind of stuff before ?

Daily S/R Levels from Monday to Friday

  1. Terrible opening for bulls: price is now below bold blue trendline! While below 1.1901 I am back to selling highs..
  2. The sh*tty part about new picture is that price can still go up while going down! (check yellow zone) even when switching to bearish! I hate these kind of situations and it is wise to trade mixed for the whole week!
  3. The earlier bears force this down the deeper it can go.. Or in other words: The more bears delay the drop the supportive thin blue trendline will shift higher day by day that narrows the lower range...
  4. For this week it is best to trade the H1 chart.. Make 1.1900 your pivot and to put it very roughly: Try to look for sell setups while below it or buy setups while above it.. That's all I can say..

Yes a weak start of the EU! Should be an interesting week ahead with some high impact news in the next 3 or so days too

Bloomberg high is 1.1917, but they often report extreme fake prices over the weekend, in pairs like SEKNOK sometimes even several percent off. Always wondered what the source is.
Btw we just had an intraday falling wedge breakout.
Another day, another dollar.

H4 Status Update

  1. Price is now at H4 magnetic resistance.. Will bulls be able to keep it above or will bears continue to force it lower? Time will tell..
  2. Based on my angled lines system I am trying to buy this dip for one last time BUT smaller time frames like M5 or M15 don't show any bullish signs yet.. Therefore I am waiting on side lines to see how 1.1883 will react!

Edit: more bull weakness.. I switch fully back to selling peaks while below 1.1887!
