MT4 Charts Not Updating

I have charts running for 9 different pairs in MT4. It is the current build and I have even re-downloaded and re-installed this morning... but 5 out of the 9 charts have not updated since Friday. I could understand if I was having a connection issue, but why would some charts be updating and others not? Has anyone else had this problem?

maybe because it is the weekend? the market closes at the close of the US session on friday and opens on the open of the asian session on sunday. this might be why your charts havent updated since friday. if they still dont update today, then i have no clue whats wrong with your pc.

MT4 usually starts updating Sunday night at 5pm eastern time. 4 of my charts did just that and have been up to date since. 5 of my charts have not updated on any timeframe since the close on Friday. I've been using MT4 for awhile now and have never had this problem. It's just bizarre that some are working and some aren't. Thanks for the help anyway Blacksun.

oooh. i thought you meant they werent updating on saturday. lol. got confused. as for that, i have absolutely no idea. what broker are you using right now?

No worries. I got it to work. I'm using Forex.com, but thinking about switching to an ECN... maybe MBT. I use MT4 demo because it's free and Forex.com's charts are horrible. I had to uninstall MT4 again and manually delete all related files on my hard drive... now after re-installing, it is updating properly. Now I have another issue however... normally on the dailies, the date would switch at 5pm eastern time... now it switches at 8pm. I'm guessing it's a setting somewhere in MT4.

Daily times are set by the broker. There is no setting on the platform. If it is switching at 8pm Eastern your broker has a 00:00 GMT server. Switch to a GMT +3 broker if you want 5pm Eastern. FXDD for example.

Hello everybody.

I have a problem with my charts, as you can see from the screenshots published below.
The problem only occurs with few pairs. Someone can tell me the reason, or a solution.

You could try deleting the history file for 1 pair on the trouble time frame, close, and restart, see if that will force it to download the data again.

Obviously, if it looks the same after that, then the broker is giving you corrupted data and they are the people you really need to ask.

Hi Erebus !

Thank you for answer.
I will try tomorrow when the markets open. I'm also thinking to use a script "ForceLoadHistorical".
And the last solution......i will change my demo broker.... but with a lot of work, in this case.
