Buy stop perfectly triggered. open for the weekend. This one can move around as much as it wants between now and my next trade, probably around 1850 or 1900, next week.

3 positions got stopped out of yesterdays longs in the 70s! Managed to reenter EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM thanks to the volatility coming back up from 867!

Very rare can I do that. Very very rare. Good sign, probability wise. Usually I get one or two max out of 4 when this happens. Now all at BE.

Another low risk successful week, wish you all had a good one to, and a good weekend to all !
If I don't mention SL and/or TP = longer-term setup possibly in the works!

Short on this pullback at 1.18855 (black line -1 pip), but this chart is doing its absolute best to troll me. Any relatively large close above this line and I'm out, this 15 min candle should be the deciding factor. If we actually go back up and range for the day, I'll take my loss and look to short where I originally planned on the market pulling back. If this or the next 15 min candle doesn't close as a big bearish engulfing , I may just sit out till next week. Let's see if we can end the day around 1.186~1.185 area

I'm curious as to why so many people are looking to short EU especially when so many people (at least posters on this thread) are scalpers/day traders.

Fundamentals are what I use to "influence" my mindset before opening charts; I am of the mindset that TA confirms FA (that's a whole other debate).

H1 Status Update

My final chart and post for the day and week: While roughly below 1.1890, selling seems to be the better option.. Low volume after this hour makes trading useless for me.. I am calling it a day folks.. Hopefully I continue next week.. Enjoy your weekends..

I tried to catch a falling knife last night, buying at 1895 as it was dropping. Bad idea. Luckily it popped back up just in time for me to get out unscathed near b/e. Turned around immediately and shorted from 1890 to 1874. Was targeting 1865 but it missed so I got out after the bounce. Now I tried a quick scalp but closed it after a few minutes for a small profit, as I don't have the energy to sit through another trade right now. Good session overall. Done for the week.

Big thank you to Ata-Turkoglu for your wisdom in the wee hours last night when I was still intent on going long. Your analysis helped get me on the right track.

EU looks to be making H&S on March 50% but 61.8 / 1950 would be no surprise.

Daily S/R Levels for the New Week

  1. I will update this chart because broker might print a weekend candle.. For now this is the roughly picture..
  2. My focus will be on the yellow area IF the bold blue trend line keeps supporting!!!
  3. 1.1898 is nearest support for Monday and we must see day by day how candles position themselves regarding to the blue trend line.. As long as above, I stay bullish!
  4. The bold red trend line is the badass resistance that bulls might need to beat soon.. Roughly sitting at 1.2028..

I think this short analysis will give you the quick feeling of where we might be headed. I will try to update this based on Monday opening.. Enjoy your weekends folks

Don't be in a hurry for longer term. It'll retest 1.20 and move below 1.17. That'll determine the direction.

I still think dxy to 95 - 96 a good place to go short.

Interesting insights again! You mean the DXY to 92.95-96 region? I admittedly never incorporated the DXY into trading the EU but interested to see if it can indeed strengthen trade analysis.

Thanks! But why again below 1.17 and then up?

From a psychological standpoint it might just go straight through 1.20 after a quick rejection, this would be more of a surprise to all the squeezed longs which missed the rebound. I think the paintrade is now up, don‘t you think?

My short got stopped at 1.19218 when the high was 1.19161 (6 pips higher than the high) in that ridiculous 25 pip spike putting me at a -27 pip loss from the short I was holding last week... what an absolutely awful start to the week.

Ig apparently went 16 pips higher than my charting software, and it stopped me at 22 pips above. Anyone else have this same price? black line is where I got stopped, these are both 15 min charts

just remove the stops during weekend. it wasnt a spike, it was spread and low liquidity

It has never been a 25 pip spike, price usually doesn't move that fast ever during these times. I understand spread is bigger, but price doesn't fly like it's doing now.
