I bought on 1.11816, short term intraday buy on S1, bottom of a channel and mini 5m demand zone. TP open for now

Had a really nice spike, but it looks like it will take out my BE stop soon

I'm hoping for bulls and if so, I'm expecting this final mini obvious triangle break to be the last manipulation before price begins to climb quickly. I'd hope for price to climb to 1.19577 where we may have a pullback to finally reach 1.20~1.21 area. Let's see what happens

What makes you say the triangle was manipulation ? (Not challenging, genuinely curious)

I'm long also but may just retest the triangle and drop. Stop at BE in case.

Feel free to challenge even though you might not be now, I'm happy to discuss and learn others thought process. I think it's just a possibility because we did get quite the bullish pressure after the drop from the recent 15 min candle range (attached, 2nd image). We dropped from 1.1845 to 1.1813 area, and pretty quickly retraced. To me, especially after a period of ranging movement (ranging between 1.1840-1.1850), it feels that bulls did want to push up or at least were willing to challenge the bears.

In my opinion, manipulation happens only after they see pressure going in the opposite direction, then they make a last effort to pretend it's going "with the trend" and accumulate while taking out the longs. I can see buyers who exited when the support line broke, and some last minute sellers attempting to sell at the "broken support as resistance" (I personally think any short term s/r lines is just BS and a trap).

At the same time, there must be willing buyers willing to buy once the "low" breaks, so preventing a NEW low would be great to accumulate longs without others jumping in.

I believe we'll be going up from that point you entered, or worst case a W will be made under this triangle before reversing upwards (low being around 1.1804~1.1797, attached picture of my 4H analysis, the previous resistance broken resistance "held" which to me is suspicious and baiting sellers, but could be wrong.

Anything else then I'm just wrong. It's difficult to predict "manipulation" because you don't know when or how they will do it, but it's clear in hindsight when it's happened. That's my big signal for trend change. I believe this entire area is a fakeout and the real trend will be up, but the very least if the trend IS still down, I'm expecting some pullback before continuing lower. Hope that makes sense

How did you decide to enter at that point?

Note: Right now, price is perfectly hovering under that support line which to me looks like potential accumulation, but whether or not they will go up or make 1 more fakeout low (W) before going up (IF they are planning to move this up) is not up to me

Cheers. I just bought on the 5m demand area from the spike in the morning, S1 and a 1h channel. I don't have strong conviction on a move up but I knew we'd get enough of a reaction to get a stop to BE, then hopefully due a retracement and get out at a fib level. Equities rebounding a bit, I figured the dollar may pull back a little.

I believe it will reach the 1.21 area, even higher, once this final leg down finishes. It might however reach lower to 1.75 area should it break the last low registered today. I bought at 1.27 for my first buy and will keep till it reaches my target (1.23). I will be protecting it though and sell below today's low.

I agree with you, if my pattern shows up it could be to official start of a powerful new uptrend that crushes our previous area of 1.23, but that won't be for a while an I'm waiting on a lot of signals. For now, this 4H close in extremely important to me and I want to close above 1.18386 in this 4H or much more on the Daily.

According to my own strategy, this could be the final actual low for weeks, maybe months. Too soon to call, but it's a possibility if my plan happens out the way I expect it to.

I'm looking at 1.1864, 1.1880, 1.1896 (fib retraces) for exiting longs.

Any thoughts?

We have the last 1h supply zone between those higher two levels, too, so that would make a nice target if we can get there, also if we get there tomorrow, then it will get to the top of my 1h channel

So you have 3 longs from s1 zone that now have 20 pips profit each ?
And you dont close them in a strong downtrend.

10 hours range bound 15 points no real movement. Look like a dip into the sub 18xx 1.1777 area look close by if 182xx area doesn't hold.

Personally i think 1.1720 - 1.1680 area is going to hold very well and take it back to 1.19.

The market came within 8 pips to the D-2a level which is common for traders to take a little off the table. That is why the resistance here.

Not a trading advice but a outlook : on weekly basis after breaking 1.1811 possible market may reach 1,2, and 3 targets in a straight dropping phase after some pull backs
