Hello @LiunLiun and @MichaelSch,

I have read over this thread multiple times. This method is something I have diligently tested in demo as well as back tested. I have been using this strategy since May and I can't figure out the best way to cut my loses and stop trading a crossing of a specific line. Many lines work great using a solid support or resistance as the balance line but there are a handful that price keeps on finding it's way back to without a solid move. This handful greatly diminishes the profit made and sometimes brings the account to a loss.

I have tried many different pip intervals for "line thickness" and having a line as thick as 20, 30, or even 50 pips is still not enough to completely avoid many crosses of that level.

I was hoping you two could shine light on your money management and when you decide to stop trading a line cross because of too many stop outs.

I have thought of hedging as well as martingale, but both increase the risk per trade with no certain guarantee the pips made will cover all loses.

I have witnessed a very good level as my line be crossed with a 20 pip stop loss 30 times before making a large move, and even this move was not nearly big enough to cover the amount of losses.

I am very much looking forward to gaining insights into your money management and strategies for this specific type of trading. I have stayed silent on this thread trying to come up with the answer on my own, but I am still struggling to do so after months of trying this.

have you tried using fibonacci sequence with a R:R 1:30/1:50 or higher ? its the only way to help you with multiple crosses as it is impossible to trade this way with fixed size but then the profits will be small. this will not work either but you can try you can easily trade 100 lines with 5-20 crosses till the range with 100+ crosses will eventually come. would be nice if someone could make an EA as it is close to impossible to trade this by hand if high volatility is near the line.

Gold: November 21 review

According to latest Washington reports that "phase one" trade deal between world's two leading economies, US-china may not be completed this year and they will wait for more time to complete this deal.

Last Tuesday US president Trump told that if we don't make a deal with china, I will raise the tariff higher. After break out of this news, Hedge funds like Gold and Silver were rising and made a new high of $1479.00 range yesterday. Chinese Vice Premiere, Liu He said that he was very cautiously optimistic for phase one deal but some of the US demands were very confusing.

After making a -200 points down yesterday, Dow 30 futures, December contract is trading -60 points, down -0.19% at early Asian sessions.

Traders should always keep an eye at this type of situations and Gold prices should be in bullish trend as a safe haven demands.

By 07.30 AM IST, Gold futures, December contract traded around $1475.50 range, down -0.08%.

Expectation of US president Donald Trump and Chinese president Xi Jinping will meet early December also given some positive relief for Gold and Silver.

According to fed rate monitor tool, Uncertainty of next Fed rate cut decision, December chances will give little prospects. It will also give negative chances for safe heaven demands.

Expecting profit booking, we will wait for any positive news of the trade deal from US sides.

For intraday and STBT strategy for Gold is given below.

Entry point - $1475.50-$1478.00

And keep R1 $1486.50

And wait S1 $1462.00
And wait S2 $1458.00
And wait S3 $1450.00

Trades from this week. GU, daily goal 1%.
This way trading is like a hunt. Somehow it is close to Martingale, the lot size is not doubled,
but you need to increase the TP.

this is the principle of this method. theoretically speaking you will never loss more than the spread or commission. but the last time that you take your trade in the line that will give you a large number of pips. {image}

I trade a strategy very similar to yours. Would love to discuss more.

Is there any way I can contact you via email or any other modes of communication?
