Ratios & Harmonics: a Different Way to Trade

Short. Was a little late to trade.

SL -6 pips. Not reading well today. Next trade.

Buy.

TS 20 pips. As Mr Pip says one good trade on this system can erase up 2-3 losing trades. A good way to finish the day.

Today's first trade. The slope of the momentum has been too steep on the topside to think about entering a trade, the risk was too much to enter until now.

I deliberately didn't trade on the first rotation candle with the sharp bearish candles coming down but the retest looked more promising

In pain atm on live chart....

SL -9 pips. Was still looking ok until we got all positive US news but I still pay no attention to news, it just is what is. Next trade.

How much of a spread do you pay when trading forex? Is it usually a couple dollars worth? Just curious as I do not trade it.

Straight up and took me out....

SL -13 pips. Was a bit of a bite in my R:R. News is fun- failed expectation followed by failed expectation. Coffee break to refocus then back to it.

Long again. Already not looking promising, it may be just one of those days. The market is moving fast in a volatile nature but I'm not afraid, bring it on. I will stick to my plan.

My spread is around 0 - 0.2 pips (next to nothing) on EU but I do pay commission which is .7 of a pip. It is about the same as you would pay on Futures. If I make 1 pip (1 point in futures) I will have made back costs and a fraction more.

SL -15 pips, another hit. It's that sort of day.

I can't show my trading chart because for some reason my computer crashed and the chart is still re-loading (there's a lot of history in the charts). I will have to check out the crash in off peak time, not happy.

Here are my trades from another platform. 3x expectation failures today. Some days it just happens like this. My trading has been fine and I haven't broken any rules so I am still happy. I think being able to stick to my plan on days like this in crucial as I know I can make up the loses and will be profitable if I stay the course... so, Next trade.

TS 10 pips. I think I should have been more aggressive with my TS at this level / time of day but the choice was made and it is what it is.

Not a good day. On my second trade I had a chance to BE but didn't, but in point of fact my plan didn't call for it. I think I should have reduced risk at some point though.

After a losing day it is easy to top end on your trading plan , to change things, to kick yourself and be basically an emotional wreck. But after studying Mr Pip's videos I have come to realise that losing days or even a week is part of the business.

It is so strongly against human nature to accept losses that it upsets most people and they can't accept this state of mind and it starts to impact their trading by breaking their trade plan and making more mistakes. I know I've been there more times than I care to remember.

I now have faith in my trade plan however and after reviewing my trade plan and my actions I am happy. I could have done better but I could have done on any other day too. I think the market was being funny today with a strong news event that threw out the market.

One thing I did miss was the Gartley that formed against me on the second trade. I didn't see the big picture as I was too immersed in the ST PA.

Tomorrow is a new day.

Long ABCD completion.

SL -7 pips. No where to go but down from here. Am looking to enter short but not sure I'll find an entry.

SL -7 pips. Could be a difficult level to trade, may consolidate for a while... Will sideline and wait for clear signal.
